  • I love that song, it´s my favourite =D

A thank you from Germany =)

  • love the autotune on bernards voice :-)

  • No this isn't New Order, because New Order had synths and drum machines. Barney abandoned all that stuff years ago, and now sounds like all the other guitar rock bands out there.

  • @deanc2000 yeah....:(

  • voice #1 is great, but wait, it is bernard's turn, and it is pure magic, everything right with the world, absolute magic in that young voice. i remember on patience of a saint , he did the 2nd voice , after neil tenant, and the effect is instant love for mr. sumner.

  • Bernie - amazing. Please tour the USA and come to New Jersey.

  • Love the intro, great bass.

  • holy shit. this is great

  • its Really just New Order .. with yet another name... Sumner & Hook at there best as usual ;-).... reeks of " Low Life ! " .. great stuff

  • @thed0dfather Hook is not in this band

  • This is home

Just tell me that it's true

I want you by my side

Girl I'm doing it for you

    I'm gonna open your eyes

    I'm gonna take you higher

    Than a bird can fly

Girl I'm so in love with you

Don't even think that it's true

  • great .

  • 90s are gone. BL now in backruptcy due to lack os sales.

  • @sanfranguy9 hmmm are you a yank by any chance. american=useless.

  • It sounds like new order to me. Good bass guitar, a bit of synth, a bit of Manchester soul, RIP the Hacienda.

  • Not rocky enough...nothing against it, but wth Barney singing it just sounds like straight up New Order - give it some BALLS man, its not even proper indie/britpop

  • I wonder what Peter Hook is up to now?

  • @katakisLives - Hooky is performing with his band 'The Light' at loads of festivals, playing a set of tracks from Joy Division's "Unknown Pleasures".

    Hope that answers your question

  • as a fan of boy new order and joy division. i love this.

  • Please, somebody have the "This is Home" lyrics?

Alguém tem a letra de "This is Home"?

    Thanks

    Obrigado

  • I think... everybody needs a shock or need a hit, but sometimes is only good music. it´s ok

  • Yeah, if people don't compare this to previous saintly amazing bands, then this is some really good music. This is certainly not my favorite band, but I'm glad I found out about them anyway.

  • strongest track of the album!!!

  • Fantastic song!

  • Amazing, the brand new album is a true masterpiece!

  • Bad Lieutenant is a Godsend !

  • I like what they are doing. They brought the gold in my opinion, whatever it is that I like about this sound. I enjoy the contrast of voices like in "Turn My Way" from New Order or "Patience of a Saint" from Electronic.

  • cuando sale el video de esta excelente cancion? !!! Viva BL !!!

  • who cares- new order is no more. just enjoy it. what a great track sounds like a b-side from 1985 low-life. this sound so fresh.

  • Love Barney's chorus part to this, the whole track is pretty good but you cant help but think what that chorus would sound like in a New Order track

  • it isn't exactly an walk in the park to start a project and a band and release an album when your name is forever related to bands like New Order, Joy Division and even Electronic. Mr Sumner is in my opinion coming up roses with B.L and I make that statement after I restrained myself from comparing to the bands I mentioned. It's nothing sensetional but it's not hyped up rubbish either. this particular song is one of the best on the album, performed with astonishing economy. Classy. Works for me!

  • @Sandboge I agree my friend, it;s tough to live up to Ian Curtis (Joy Division), and then New Order. I hope this new band will carry on though, and continue in the Joy Division/New Order tradition.

  • Good points 'evelsnakes1,' but this song is produced well, and many great songs lack the pop melodies that you seek. I agree that new order's older tracks have much more melody and substance (pun intended), but it isn't that bad. Bernard still sounds like he is 24 vocally. Funny.

  • There has been a lot of abuse hurled at Bernard's new band. Me included. I thought they must be rubbish as hardly anyone had a good word to say about them.

However, I saw them at MEN Arena last night. They are absolutely BRILLIANT Live. I would urge anyone to go and see this band before they start bandying around words like "crap" etc.

The energy Bernard has is amazing. His dancing is still pants, but as for a Live band they are superb!

  • he had lots of energy cause he downed a few big macs and super big gulps before the show. Who's the bigger fatty: berny or robert smith. I guess when you get old you stop caring and have to hire a band that is half your age. shit, bernard is quite the straight ahead rocker these days, but his guitar playing ain't a quarter as good as it used to be, never mind the missing synth arrangements I used to love. What's worst of all is the sheer lack of melody.

  • Would I go see them live? Hell yeah, especially since it would be a small venue, but otherwise these are like any other late era electronic/new order tunes...flat. Remember his heyday of substance/technique/first electronic album? Magnificent.

  • I don't think you could expect him to be playing with the same sytle as when he wrote Technique, but the gig I saw was flawless.

A mix of the old and the new. One half of New Order belting out Love Will Tear us Apart, Temptation, Bizarre Love Triangle and Out of Control.

As I've said on other posts, I don't rate the studio album, but as for putting on a live performance, they're awesome.

  • haha....Bernand's dancing reminds me of that Seinfield episode of "Elaine" dancing....but he's still the greatest.

  • The chorus is very strong. Good job Bernard!!

  • this is home is the stand out track of the album it's nice to hear both singers and the chorus really kicks in well. Good overall pace to the song . You can't even tell the berny can't sing. lol

  • This Album features some of the best New Order - Tracks for years. Love it!

  • There aren't any stand out, change-your-life tracks on this record- but it's an amazing album. Very refreshing. And I love the logo.

  • Joy Division >> New Order >> Bad Lieutenant >>> The evolution !

  • On first listen, I'm impressed by this. Has anybody got anything positive to say about the whole album?

  • Du bon, du trés, trés bon.....

Sumner, le McCartney des annees 80-90-00.

  • This is pretty good. I was never a big fan of New Order to be honest.

  • Why are people so criticle to BL? The are OK, certainly better then most music today.

  • I agree.

  • Vraiment excellent "This is home"Merci Bernard Sumner!!!

  • Heard this on George Lamb's show, good tune.
