My question is if it is important to take the account of the time, if it is important that the shine finishes in the time 1 to continue dancing in pair. Or you can finish the shine on time 5 catching your companion in that moment

una pregunta a los que saben de salsa, cuando se baila separado pero en pareja en la pista de baile hace falta respetar el tiempo 1 con el pie adelante osea se puede hacer cosas distintas a lo que hace tu pareja

I guess it depends if you dance on1 or on2. I dance on1 and indeed I reconnect with my partner at 1, after which I go into a turn or cross body lead at 5. There are different times on2, but shines should also end after a full measure. I've seen videos where eddie torres goes back into the basic sometimes on 1, other times on 5. anybody cares to comment?

It's not just that...but Oliver just let's her do her thing. I have seen Griselle with other great dancers, such as Thomas Guerrero...but he doesn't let her shine like Oliver.
