keep in mind the post office has to pay the contractors to break the contract they have with them, then they are paying their city workers extra overtime, Also keep in mind these people who were getting there mail before noon in most cases are now waiting untill 5 pm. In most cases Contractors make nothing compared to city workers or even the slow old clerks for that matter. I understand what they are trying to do, but in the long run i think the union is going to be the downfall of them.

absolutly true onthatpowder, they have terrible management, our current postmaster seems to be clueless of how most of the post office is even run.

from what i have recently learned from some contractors in other states is the usps, has begun to take contracts away from contract drivers, and are giving it to city workers. in which case they have not hired anyone new to do it but adding it to the work the city workers have causing more overtime,

they should cut back to 3 days a week, that gives them less days to fuck up people's mail and packages. FUCK OFF USPS, please privatize and cut the tens of thousands of dead weight useless employees and let them see just how good of a job they had when they are in the unemployment line

hahah, nice  .....usps is dying because of POOR MANAGEMENT!! Too many supervisors go from office to office just trying to bump up their resume! In my office, i've had (AND I AM NOT EXAGGERATING OR LYING) 16 supervisors since July 2007!!!!! That's insane.

no junk mail has exponentially grown any way to more than make up for that.  Besides noone really sent themselves letters before anyway when they could just call themselves.

This is just a good way to cut down on gov't expenses on a recession -- thats it. Which is what they should be doing. at least thats what I think is going on.....
