Just bought mine 1 hour ago. It is the first overdrive pedal that I have ever used that doesn't sound like a pedal. It is truly amazing. As far as the previous comment of only needing a great tube amp, My Bogner Shiva sounds great alone, but even better with the Boiling Point connected. Its like getting the best overdrive with and exceptional EQ for free. Gotta go time to do some more tone dialing.
Hi, do you guys think it can sound good with a rothwell hellbender?? would love to hear both of them stacked together!!!! I would really like to know this before ordering this from Argentina. Thanks in advance, jp
Hi, do you think this pedal can sound like an Appetit for destruction tone ? because I can't choose between Wampler plexstortion, pinnacle or this one ! This video is great !
I think the lovepedal kanji is just as good if not better and it's $170 less, u could buy a fuzz pedal with that money to go with it. Why isn't the Boiling point vid. Demo not working on PGS.com

Sup dudes. I finally let my GAS take over and I ordered #1372 this past weekend. I will now have the Boiling Point and Blackout Effectors Twosome Dual Fuzz for distortion. What would be another great OD to compliment these two? I play an Epiphone Sheraton and a Gibson Nighthawk into a Fender Twin Reverb 65 Reissue. The Lovepedal Kalamazoo sounds really cool as a compliment to the Boiling Point. Keep rockin' PGS. You guys are the best.
@PizzaToTheDome - Very cool. We appreciate your support. We have been liking the Kalamazoo a lot, and have been using it a lot lately. It is highly recommended. Thanks again!
@PizzaToTheDome WHY WOULD YOU NEED ANYTHING ELSE?!..........however a beano boost would kick ass cause it could push both of the two to do weird things and Analog Man stuff melts my brain from what ive found out from the Bi-Chorus they have
The lines being played with the strat at about 1:48 through 1:58 or so, wondering what the volume of the guitar was? Looks like the pedal was set at about 3o'clock in the Plexi mode. Just interested to know if the guitar was rolled back a bit for any of that. These sound like great, versatile OD's!
Is this a boost pedal or a over drive....cause i like it...but not sure if i want the boost part i guess i can turn the vol. down but still wanna know!!!thanks
Is this a boost pedal or a over drive....cuz i like it...but not sure if i want the boost part i guess i can turn the vol. down but still wanna know!!!thx!!
@roknfnrol and a ton of volume too!! and sounds like heaven when stacked before most other pedals, really brings everything alive! you won't believe it, but when stacked before an MI Audio Blue Boy Deluxe it pulls off more than decent metals tones too!
i play thru a line six solid state spider 3 i my pickups are dimarzio and a seymoure duncan, now i think its sounds good but i never really have played thru a quality tube amp, i may get a small fender amp and this rockbox boiling point, can anyone tell me if this setup would blow away a simple solid state amp??? thx for any imput!
Son, get a quality tube amp or any make, and this pedal, and it will excite your senses much more than your present set up. Go to a pawn shop or a used gear shop and find something old, that tickles your soul. Then buzz me to see if the price is reasonable. Put this pedal in front of it. Then the addiction will begin.
A Fender Blues Junior and a quality OD pedal should do you for starters. For OD/boost pedals I own the Xotic AC+, Xotic BB Preamp, Exotic EP Booster, CMATMODS SignaDrive. If you've looking for something to really rock, the AC+ and the SignaDrive are simply awesome. Haven't played the Boiling Point but there are no bad reviews on it so it's probably great too. The AC+ and the SignaDrive are much cheaper, and I can't imagine a much better sound though. Hope this helps.
i have the pedal and it actually sounds amazing over really any amp!!!! even solid state. If you have a good clean on your current amp, use the pedal and you will have an endless rage of overdrive!
@arnyarny77 No - it should work fine. No need to worry about damaging the amp. I run huge levels of gain through my Fender solid state from various pedals, and have never had any problems.
I agree with outstitch... It gets old reading the comments about how stuff's so expensive. When are you people gonna learn you get what you pay for. If you cant afford it then get a job. If i wanted to hear this much whining i'd go to a daycare...
i want one to but im a little league umpire (laugh all u want i get paid $20 an hour) but i dont get paid till end of the season (nov 14.) but NOT SOON ENUF
Why Oh Why do people be negative based on the fact they can't afford it? "It's way too expensive for the average guitarist"... what the fuck does that mean?? So A farrari is way too expensive for an average driver?.... No, just the fact you can't afford it!!
I bought one....I'm a very average player...It sounds the Tits...Puts a big smile on my ugly face...I can afford it I work hard...shut the fuck up!
Everyone should own this pedal even if you are retarded or sub-mental!
@outstitch I think you need to stop having sex with it!? And I have to agree with skurtix, it sounds o.k., about as good as any other OD I've owned but I can have about seven of them compared to this thing. Oh, and the comment from popomczowzow makes about as much sense as his name? You troglodytes need to go back to Harmony Central! If this pedal was under $150...I'd buy it.
This was a nice teaser! I would still prefer Andy/Scotty's more in-depth demonstrations though, especially to help decide whether to spend this much $ on an overdrive pedal.
That pedal sounds as good as it looks, I wish it was a little more budget friendly. There are not many pedals I would pay for at that pice. If I did not have other things I need at this time I would definitely consider buying this pedal.
