  • Thanks for answering. I have in my profile a demo that I made after switching to jj el34. I think my camera got it well because it's not a very cheap one. Im still thinking the Egnater Tweaker its to bright for me . After selling it I might look for the Engl gigmaster or a used Marshall DSL 50. Egnater nevermore

  • @blackmorejimi I think 6L6s are better for darker sounds with a rounder bottom end, but I've tried the Tweaker with EL34s and I loved the gain structure. The Gigmaster looks cool. I've been wanting to try a Mesa Mini Rectifier or Express, but I haven't really needed more than 15 watts so far.

  • Dont you think this amp got weak lows?? I got one and Im not very satisfied cause Im missing good lows frenquencies

even when played with my cabinet loaded with Celestion G12h Heritage 55hz.

  • @blackmorejimi I actually think it's pretty well balanced. The lows won't get as boomy as a big Bogner or Diezel... But I ran the Tweaker in the studio through a 4x12 Recto cab with Vintage 30s and the lows were LOUD.

  • any trouble with the effects loop?

  • @JesusisHope1 Yeah, return signals from some pedals will clip. The Visual Sound H2O delay does not work in the loop at all, so I run it in front of the amp. The Tech 21 Boost DLA works fine. Egnater remedied this problem in the Tweaker 40's loop with a inst/line level selector.

  • Hi! Nice pedals you have. Did you made any tubes changing to the TWeaker?

  • @KingTabor Thanks! At the time, I was just using the stock Ruby 6V6s, but I've since swapped them out for Groove Tube 6L6s. I personally would not recommend Groove Tube because of poor quality control, but they are cheap and have a decent return policy :/

  • @jamminori I bought a complete pack (pre/power) by JJ Tesla, I still didnt replace them though. But for the power I got the 6V6, I want to know what the 'project' tubes can do. About 5 months ago I put here a demo from my Tweaker (5 minutes to Egnater). But yesterday I couldnt nail half the tone from the video, tubes are weird..

  • Hey Jamminori, can you do a quick demo on the routing system PEC-04? i.e. how do you program it? are they midi friendly? etc.. I can't find any good vid on Youtube.

  • @jeremi84 Sure, but it might be a while until I get to it. I can tell you right now that it won't do midi, just analog signals. Programming is really easy and you can use the 4th loop to switch channels on your amp or A/B between 2 amps. It's an awesome unit.

  • Hey man, I'm planning to buy the Egnater tweaker head + cab as a replacement of the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe I sold. I did sell that amp because it was too loud for the bedroom. Do you think the Egnater tweaker is more tolerable for the bedroom?

What I don't understand, the head is 15 watt, the cab is 30 watt, how much watt will it sounds like? (as far as you can say 2 watt sounds like this.. etc. but you know what I mean)

  • @LeNickNL Hey dude, good question. I run the gain about halfway up and the master around 9:00 for home use. Not too loud, but still sounds full.

A speaker with a higher power rating doesn't mean it pumps out more volume. The G12H handles up to a 30 watt load, but the Tweaker definitely makes the most of it. The mini-stack is a very loud setup (my master is only at 1:00 live), and obviously, it gets even louder if you dial in more distortion. Hope that answers it!
