If the price of your house is a million and a big mac is a thousand, you still lose. Home values to income were at an all time high. He is the one who tightened the money supply in 2005 and 2006, which was reasonable, but by the end of 2006 the money supply was so tight that housing prices were plummeting and falling into foreclosure. He did not loosen the money supply again until September 2007 a full year later. Then he acted too slowly, and we got the crash of October 2008. Big banks are too big to fail, but small ones are expendable. Man of The Year?

Bernank wasn't appointed a year ago, he was appointed 4 years ago. He is the one who tightened the money supply in 2005 and 2006, which was reasonable, but by the end of 2006 the money supply was so tight that housing prices were plummeting and falling into foreclosure. He did not loosen the money supply again until September 2007 a full year later. Then he acted too slowly, and we got the crash of October 2008. Big banks are too big to fail, but small ones are expendable. Man of The Year?
