expateach did u see that at massey hall when sound went down? only time ever their sound went down, good show, but, the show in cleveland 2 nites b4 blew it away!
Im a TD dream since mid 80s. First bought soundtrack to Firestarter, then Risky Business, then just their other albums. Saw the Optical Race tour in Toronto late 80s. Thief is also a good album. But I moved on to Vangelis and now like things like DJ Sasha too, and Eastern Sun. But still listen to TD from time to time.
I have been "in love" with TD since 1981, so for 30 years. Unfortunately I could not follow closely the activities around them in the past few years but looking for original albums from time to time. Playing music from other heroes did surprise me though. I need some time to accomodate to this new situation, while the music and the delivery on this 2010 album - I have to say - is excellent!
I first became aware of Tangerine Dream through their soundtrack work on various films, particularly in the late '70's early to mid '80's; perhaps even in to the 90's, not sure. I've always liked them and have many of their albums on vinyl. They are not by any stretch amateurs in the music industry. They've been around a long time. These guys are genuine craftsmen at what they do.
yes i agree word for word i too have been a pink one too since the seventies then i got into T D some 25yrs ago when i was in leeds id have liked to see them doing the wish you were here but tuff we can't have it all our way can we ?
Oh my god. I've been a Floyd fan and a T-Dream fan since the seventies. I was torn when I saw they'd covered this, but then I heard it. They capture this song perfectly. I already bought the album.

That'll be the synthesiser from Welcome To The Machine 'mashed up' on here then...otherwise it wouldn't be Tangerine Dream sounding enough.

Not what I expected from Tangerine Dream.
Having said that I love many of the covers on this album and am hunting it down in Australia.
The Bowie Covers are sublime.
