  • this worked perfect guy i did exactly this and it fixed it today thanks for the video

  • I have a 86 firebird and one headlight doesn't rise where is a good place to get it fixed because I'm not good with car parts.?

  • Could this work for my '92 T/A. I know it says 4th gen. I guess it doesnt hurt to ask?

  • i still dont get the 180 degree twist....how do you know when its 180 degrees?

  • Thankyou buddy!! :)

  • @joshua22able Hello I have a 99 firebird and when the lights go down they make a loud noise for a few seconds do you know what that would be? Also my turn signals do not flash

  • @TheNorthernSoulKing this fixes that sound, its the stripped side of the plastic gear against the metal side

  • @mastaajbomb thank you wish they made the gears metal in the first place

  • @TheNorthernSoulKing yeah i plan on doing this fix today. i just picked up a 1995 firebird last week and it makes that sound. I dont know how far is 180 since it looks like he spins it 100 times in the video lol

  • @mastaajbomb Do you know how to replace the fog light switch? Mines busted

  • @TheNorthernSoulKing mine dosent have fog lights. I did the fix and it dosent make the sound going down anymore but one of them makes the sound going up. I have to take out the motor, crack it open, and hand rotate the gear now

  • @TheNorthernSoulKing Mine dosent have fog lights.

  • @mastaajbomb Do you have a video of yours?

  • @TheNorthernSoulKing Not yet. I just pulled the electric motor and cracked it open. The gears were fucked. Mine is a v6. Its just a winter car, i have a 1967 Chevelle 5.8l for my summer car. Tomorrow im putting it back on and i hope it works.

  • @mastaajbomb Same as mine wish I had the ws6 hood on it

  • @TheNorthernSoulKing buy one, or go to a junkyard

  • @mastaajbomb I was gonna look around at a junkyard cause most of them are 500 bucks

  • @TheNorthernSoulKing yeah me too, i love the looks of it

  • I tried this and it made just made the buzzing noise occur whenever I raised the light instead of when I lower it. lol

  • Thank you so much man :D

  • I tried this fix however now the gear makes noise in the opposite direction, when turning ON the lights...Am I missing something???

  • Omg I know what u mean

  • Thanks so much for posting this! I wanted to crawl under my car & die every time that I heard that noise!

  • Hey, pretty smart! Great fix. Thanks for the info.

  • Thanks! This will help me a lot!

  • i have the same problem with my 01 trans am. i had my left headlight fixed and now my right headlight makes that same noise and even makes the noise when i press the alarm on button. will this work for 01 t/a? cause the noise is annoying and tacky. thanx

  • will this work on a 99

  • @MrShelzac

a 99 is 4th gen. so yea it may work

  • Wow thanks a ton man! Both of my light have been jacked up buzzing every time I closed them and when I would turn on my alarm the lights would raise and go back down and make an obnoxious loud noise! After seeing you video I went out and applied this maneuver to both of my lights and presto! One light does make a buzzing noise now when I raise the light. I guess mine were really jacked up. It is a lot better than the way it was because people would always stare when it happened. Ha thanks again!

  • Any videos of late model f-body fixes lol?! I have a 2000 Firehawk and it's not as easy as you have it! Everything is covered and very hard to get to anything. It's such a PITA, that I almost want to pay someone to do it :(. I tried this and after getting cut up from the metal and getting no where getting the darn arm off the motor.. Even banged it with a chisel and hammer and it would not come off. I just gave up. Will try again another time. But would love to see a video on late model F-bodys!
