I just hate it when school marching bands take good rock songs and think that they can perform it by using their cliche-sounding drums and trumpets. Really ruins the song. I can't even hear the song, much less any sound.

Oh, right. Because freedom of speech is not allowed, right? I guess that's why these forums were created? Marching bands have the same "clikkity" sounding drums that sound like wood on wood, not real drums. This is poor quality and it's true that marching bands play the dumbest covers of cool songs. My own highschool tried to cover Metallica and AC/DC and got booed off stage. They weren't even allowed to be recorded when they were at the Rose Bowl in New Orleans b/c they were so bad.

We performed on a field, with close to 300 people. You wish you could even conceptualize the amount of coordination it takes to make a show like this one come together. Oh and by the way, I wish I could meet you in a back alley with some DCI fans. It would be a quick fight.

even though it's only beautiful....how the hell couldn't we play shit like this when i was in the marching band...the only shit i ever enjoyed out of all my years was the santana tune we did and the chicago show we put on....it's would of been a trip for me just to think it was the smashing pumpkins i played....lol....terrific!!!
