As a Greek living abroad my parents and the fathers and mothers of all immigrants that went to the US Australia Canada and so on....they respected the host nation and gave as much as they received....gratitude .We now are fortunate to have motherland and a fatherland that we both respect and love equally, but this isn't the case within Greece and its immigration issue nor is it in Italy and Germany and so on....so yes you will see retaliation and bitterness and it will be seen as racism.
