I love bullet but only on the internet you can play much faster you do not need to hit the clock and you can come up with un usual tricks like premoves and confusing unexpected moves to kill opponent on time . But in face to face I preffer longer games over the cup of coffee in relaxed atmosphere.
That is your point of view. Just because you cannot do it does not mean it can not or should not be done... But you are correct, other than having lots of fun, bullet isn't very constructive.

The best place to look at this is after 0:56. Compare the movement speed of the players with the security guards and the spectators. Qwurk may actually have a case.
You have to make all your moves within 2 minutes. Trust me. That's real speed. I've seen a lot of those games. I think they have their personal set of moves prepared in their heads so that they would automatically play them against their opponent according to situation.
One thing though. What happens if there's a check? They have to slow down a bit by that time...
OMG! If you can't see that the speed has been accelerated then you've got some serious reality issues. Even someone who hasn't played or watched the game should be able to see that. And don't give me that crap about them being "specialists"!

Speed chess isn't bad for your game, it's just a different skill set. Some players are better at playing with five or less on the clock, some are better with an hour or more.
Personally, I tend to play my best with around twenty minutes on the clock-- but then again I'm still just a woodpusher. = )

You can tell the film's been speeded up by the body movement of the people when they rise from their chairs. It's too fast.
