  • This is a great album and they were great live, the only one time I saw them in 1993 was amazing!

  • @Alphabex8 I meant that the Cramps were never mean-spirited or cruel. I've run into people turned off by their appearance/lyrics--but they miss the point: The Cramps are more Monster Mash than monstrous. As the disco dust settled back in the late '70s and I was looking for music that mattered, the Cramps joined Springsteen and Tom Waits, Talking Heads and Robert Gordon, Joe "King" Carrasco and the Clash, Elvis Costello and Two-Tone/Stiff records on my short list of saviors.

  • @pmarasa oh.

  • No other band had this much fun pretending to be bad. Poison Ivy ALWAYS scares the pants off of me, bless her heart.

  • @pmarasa i like what youre saying but i just can't except a sentence discussing the cramps with the word pretending to be in it.

  • @Alphabex8

I always thought of Lux and Ivy to be a pretty straight-forward, loving, happy couple. Theirs was a genuinely romantic tale of true love - Jane Austin with a bit of Bonnie and Clyde thrown in. They just LOOKED a little different, but were actually quite traditional.

  • Great love song.
