@BSGhusker actually I couldn't tell you what inspired this chord sequence. It's interesting that there's precedence for it's use, and even a theory-based origin. I've never had any training, and haven't listened to a lot of blues music.

@eddplant The less you know about guitar theory the more honest your songs are... so your songs kick ass cause you express yourself depending on the mood, not something a guy taught you to do... for example picture unrelated shows an awesome energy bomb side of you and this is acoustic/blues side of you... Nobody minds the lack of theory knowledge, for example in The Beatles, McCartney was the only one with music theory and yet Lennon was writing so much better melodies and lyrics.

@someonecalledME003 this song is pretty simple to play live, as it was recorded in one take with guitar, bass and drums. There are a couple of overdubs to make the heavy parts heavier but what you hear is what is played live, basically!

i love the rawness of the song, if thats what you want to call it, and its "dark" sound using chords that fit the starting Cm, not alot of artists can nail it, so well done:) is it just me that noticed syncing problems with tom on the drums? and theres no floor tom, and the drums are on a platform of sort, so no bass drum, but theres a bass drum audible?

@eddplant :) i'm a musician, i guess its a thing i have with songs like this, the (i hate this word) "defeatist" feel, about the Cm chord is just so cool, and tom's drawings strangely make it darker, its something different to what ive seen before. i dont see a microphone, was there a mic? Cm and Dbm sound epic:) btw, who wrote the strings for sound of drums? i love the song and i figured out most of the parts to SoD a few weeks ago:)
