This emerging sound was about when it all turned ape shit, the jocks (dj's) became their own worst enemy's. The scene had become so very real, post the Wheel, and overlap into the Torch and many others trying desperately to maintain a great, great NORTHERN thing! The hitherto admired vinyl sorters stepped off their vaulted given stage and fucked it all up!

Reminds me of the big Tony Cummings article on Northern Soul in Black Music, where he whined like a stuck pig about this track and its relationship with Simon Soussan. I see that the copy in the clip is the Soussan bootleg. :-)
