Jason Todd had it harder than any other Robin I recall. His father was a two bit thug for Twoface who was killed by his boss. He lived on the streets as a child taking care of himself and when he fianlly found his birth mother she turned him over to the Joker to save her own backside. No wonder he turned out the way he did.

There has only been three. Right now, the DC Universe has rebooted, so now Barbara Gordon is back to being Batgirl. Cassandra Cain(2nd batgirl) has gone to Hong Kong to serve as Blackbat. Stephanie Brown has gone to England for finishing school, on Bruce Wayne's order.

The third one was Jason's replacement: Tim Drake. Tim is the brainy one with a pampered upbringing. The fourth one is a girl: Stephanie Brown, the only female robin. Steph had a brief crush on Tim and he left for some reason and she stole or made a costume and replaced him. She ended up replacing Cassandra Cain as the third batgirl. And then Damian came in.

WOW this is soo amazing!! i just finished watching behind the red hood and this video makes me want to watch the movie for the second time tonight, im definitely favoriting this!

i loved the ending with that scene of young jason but i felt like it  was left soo open, i mean im glad they did that but i NEED TO SEE MORE x3!!! do you know if jason ever appears again other than in the comic series???? :D

He dies in 'Death In The Family', returns in 'Under The Hood', has several cameos in certain series...(Nightwing, Robin, Green Arrow), is an important character in Battle For The Cowl after Bruce's death, and is also a important supporting character in 'Countdown to Final Crisis'. He has also appeared in the new Batman & Robin Series, and will be returning in that same series in May.
