The complete "ART"includes sutemi-waza(strikes and other locks) that aren't allowed in competition. For selfdefense, you don't even need all that stuff. Just block, dodge, hit if you have to, then throw fast and "hard" if there is no "matt"I am sorry. Arm locks(gotta crack them)In that condition no anemy can fight!

cool i've been told i'm an excellent taekwondo fighter because i take everything in at my sessions, i do taekwondo twice a week teenager class and adult class ( our adult classes your ment to be 17 or 18 + i'm only 16) but my instructor says i take it seriously enough to be with the adults and i had my first compotition last week and i got 3 medals and most ppl get none :) and at the next compo my instructor said i'm good enough and he is expecting gold medals at next compo XD

yea same here my instructor says i have potential so over the next 5 months hes going to be training me 5x as hard so i'm ready for the next compotition so i bring home the gold same here really i used to be really hyper get angry really easy and go out of control but TKD gives u the disipline and control and of course happyer. its also good stress releif with pad work and sparring and ye i was always angry coz i was brought up in the town luton was the officially rated the numba 1 worst town
