  • Surely I'm not the only one fistpumping to this?

  • @OhNoNotMyPenis Dude, I fuckin love your youtube name. XD

  • 1:00 - 1:44 sounds like the intro riff from Tragedy by the BeeGees.

  • 1:24 Ohyes<3

  • this was used in sonic megamix as special stage 6

  • Anyone else hear the Crisis City Classic tune?

  • @randomxfirerecording The very second I heard these notes in the Modern Era trailer, this was the exact ressemblance that came to mind. It's almost as if it was on purpose.

  • @randomxfirerecording Yeah, there is definitely a similarity between this and crisis city. It seems even more noticeable in the hub world.

  • @CrazyPilf Probably a referance to this track!

  • epic bass!

  • 01:25 - 01:42 Totally and completely amazing. Best part of the song.

  • @Gerranor almost cried.

  • @Gerranor Reminds me of walking to tescos with the tune stuck in my head, looking forward to my girlfriend visiting me the next day,

  • @Hooverblox I imagine that part of the song to be a bit darker than that, lol.

  • @Gerranor Well, as for dark I did meet a man asking me where the nearby train station was, and I speak the truth when I say this, he said he wanted to commit suicide. I didn't tell him where it was but I felt rather sorry for him because he was in quite a bad way, I wish I had done more for him now.

  • @Hooverblox still not dark.

  • @Hooverblox Well, we all live with regrets. He was only a stranger to you, so you shouldn't worry about it. It sucks to see someone like that, and your regret is totally understandable. A lot of suicidal people reconsider before its too late, maybe he did the same. That memory probably won't leave you, so just do what I'd do. Believe what I said about suicidal people reconsidering, and try to feel better about it. If you wanna talk more about it, PM me, I'll listen.

  • @Gerranor Oh it's not that bad, it was a bit frightening at the time but I am definetely not scarred for life from it or anything, because I never heard anything about a suicide in the local news so I realize he probrably didn't do it. Thanks for your offer though, it was very kind

  • @Hooverblox While the internet is an unregulated medium, I don't feel the need to act like an asshole because of it. It's the same with you it seems, as you replied to my first comment in a way that's not stupid, disrespectful, or teeming with grammatical errors. I'm willing to help those I respect, whether it's on the internet or not. Either way, the offer is still open, regardless of what you want to talk about.

  • the SNES had the better sound chip but the allways genesis use its one to the max

snes didnt have as much epic music for tis games

  • 2nd best music level to diamond dust

  • act two was a f####ing nightmare!!!

  • Happy 20th sonic!

  • Played it on Bose Companions 3.1 and MAN that bass is a beast!!

  • this game's music is full of epicness! God i love all the themes!

  • Why wasn't THIS song remixed in Sonic Adventure?

  • @Edfan10 Tatsuyuki Maeda composed this song, and he only did sound effects for Sonic Adventure.

But they should have, I agree.

  • 0:00 - 0:03. I can gulp to that. :3

  • the bosses in sonic #d blast are kind of hard on the pc but ps2 i easy some reson 0.o

  • @juan5557903 the music is 10x better on the saturn

  • HOLY FUCK. DAT BASS.

  • I think it would go nice into chemical plant zone in sonic 2

  • I say this tune and Act 2's rhyme PERFECTLY with the 2nd boss fight music.

  • @Gunner193

    Same composer: Tatsuyuki Maeda.

  • Instant eargasm!

  • Pure nostalgia here :)

  • Alot of teleporters in this zone.

  • @ScYtH3XX But no dispensers.Damn engineers.

  • i got the game

  • 0:01-0:03: Epic intro.

    0:04-0:58: Just awesome.

1:00-1:44: Almost sounds like final zone music.

  • I always liked act 1 better because of the first three seconds.

  • The people who disliked this couldn't beat Dr. Robotnik in Volcano Valley Zone.

  • @AlbinoSandvich:

Can you blame them? That boss was just unforgiving.

  • sonic 3D blast is seriously a good game, trying 3d versions from great 2d games is not always a good idea, but i gotta say that those guys from sega did a good job with this one, i seriously loved/love this game, it takes a while to beat too (which is even better)

  • Gangster bass line.

  • i freaking love this music... this game... everything in it...

one of the most epic games i played , i´ll never , ever forget it

  • @juan5557903 It always seems like I'm one of the only people that actually likes the whole game.

  • @GamerBoy53 I like the gameplay too. It seems people are too caught up in the normal style of Sonic games to appreciate the isometric flicky hunter style.

  • @dekoldrick:

OOOOOR... maybe the controls were just too unpolished and slippery.

  • @thapoint09 Genesis version only.

  • The 2 who clicked dislike obviously got zapped at the electrified gates...

  • i hear bits of 8 bit tunes in many songs of this game.

  • @juan5557903 now that I think of it, me too. It really does have kickass music.

  • @SilentJ43 Yup.

  • Who the heck clicked dislike?!

  • Check out my rendition of the Sonic the Hedgehog SatAM tv theme!

  • THIS LEVEL IS EVIL.

  • this reminds me of megaman

  • This level pissed me off alot when I was little. The song kicks ass though!

  • You know if they took out those damn birds, and made the stages more linear and fast, 3D Blast would have been a good game.

  • Gene "Gadget" Hackman is teaming up with Dr Robotnik? Sweet Jesus!

  • once you get accustomed to the 3d shadow he projects, its easy as shit

  • i love this game.... am i like the only person who can play this fluently? i dont find the controlles that difficult...

  • i love this game too, and the controls aren't bad.

  • Yes. They. Are. Which makes Diamond Dust Zone such a pain.

  • well, they aren't the best, but hey, this game is alot better than satbk in my opinion.

  • @raveakidd They're slippery and the perspective is a little deceptive, but you do get used to it.

They didn't handle acceleration on inclines very well, but basically you get used to clearing those in the air altogether rather than deal with the hassle.

  • @raveakidd Your not alone dude! I don't find the controls hard at all! =)

  • @raveakidd we're three, the controls are okay, the gameplay is really well, i love it

  • Can you please extend this?

  • ALL THE GENISIS SONIC GAMES ARE THE SHIT! . . . and their Soundtracks are WAY better than current Sonic games, which I don't care for. Project Needlemouse is coming out soon and I CAN'T WAIT

  • Which why you suck at it.

    Pro players don't baww. ;D

  • the carnival zones weren't hard at all , spring stadium wa a bitch to control.....but so was the rest of sonic 3d blast

  • Diamond Dust Zone was worse.

  • only because of the snowman enemies

  • for some reason this is my favorite zone in the whole game.

  • Me too

  • This was the best zone I thought. I found it the most enjoyable. I hated that Spring Stadium Zone though, that was my least favourite Zone.

  • I agree to me it seems like all the circus, casino zones are the least fun.But thats just my opinion.

  • I agree, in every game those levels have been in. They've caused me major frustration. Especially the one in Sonic 3.

  • Ugh true dat man!

  • I hated Carnival Night Zone; although it looks nice, the sheer length of it really eats up valuable time.

And I always had trouble with the Casino Night and Spring Yard bosses as a kid.

  • The music in ALL of the Sega Genesis Sonic games are awesome though.... well at least IMO.

  • Gaaaw, any Carnival/Casino stage is really long. XDDDDD

Every try Wacky Workbench on CD? IT's horrible bouncing everywhere!! XD

  • Yeah, the shit with that elevator block you have to jump on to make it go down, I burst out of frustration for some time.

  • I lose count the amount of times I ran out of time just because of that damn lift.

  • @Darkstar263 I'm gald I'm not the only one. PAIN. IN. THE. ASS.

  • I like the direction Unleashed went in, but a quality re-imagining without deviating too far from the core mechanics of the original would be wonderful. The werehog was ok, but imagine what more they could have included into that game without it.

  • God, I miss when Sonic soundtrack was like this. Sure the sound quality wasn't the greatest, but it had SOUL. Unleashed was definitely a step back in the right direction, but they've still got a ways to go before they truly find their groove again.

It's really weird, because while they're busy trying way too hard to be TOTALLY RADICAL with the console games, the Advance ones were just about right.

  • @sevaryn11 Agreed, the Advance games were great. I loved the first and second, only borrowed the third for a short time so I didn't get much of that one.

  • Very true

  • MEMORIES!!!

  • funny, real funny HPQ5

  • Hmm Gene Gadget I wonder if that's Inspector Gadget's brother :)

  • it coulda had like a different storyline and stuff too lol..

  • You're going to save those damn birds and like it. >=[

  • @HPQ5 ya, no matter how retarded some of them may be, not mentioning the GREEN ones, of course... -_-

  • @HPQ5 They're called "Flickies".

  • wow it is a nice soundtrack...

hey why did they release the same game again I guess they just released a version with easier controls wow

  • This music is immersive, energetic, not too repetitive, powerful, and freaking awesome!

I put it in the same league as Lava Reef and IceCap

  • I love this music ...even tho the gameplay of S3D was a little weird (directional movement, mainly) the music was still ace, so I regard Sonic3D as one of the original 'good' sonic games along with 1/2/3&K

  • This music is so epic. Makes me a bit bitter that they're in this pop rock phase when they used to have something so much more...spiritual than that :P

  • Lolwut?

  • Gene Gadget is a top melody. I'd rather this games music than Sonic 3's. This soundtrack stays true to it's roots!

  • I couldn't find Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection on PS3. The store I tried looking only had the 360 version. Why, why do you taunt those who own the opposite console (that seems better)?

  • Think about the Wii owners here, too. They didn't get it at all = (

  • Never mind, I have it now.

  • the shadow appears on other title cards....

    coincidence?! I THINK NOT!!!

    What could this be?

  • This makes me think of what Mega Man could have sounded like on Genesis- much better than Wily Wars : (

  • For some reason, this track reminds me of Space Colony ARK.

  • Notice the blue shadow thingy around the text "Gene Gadget Zone"

  • I looks like the level, but kinda zoomed out though... but thats just me.

  • From what i've played of this game recently, Gene Gadget is easily my favourite zone so far. I'm playing this on the Megadrive Collection for 360.

Now on Panic Puppet atm, i don't think that's as epic as this zone to be honest. Why couldn't have they had this zone last?

  • [see also: "Egg Rocket Zone - Act 1" music]

  • Nice uploads, guy !

Good tune (one of my favorite), FM synthesis rocks ! ^^

  • Gene Gadget was a hard level but not as annoying as Volcano Valley.

  • Oh man....this is why I LOVE Sonic, the music never ceases to amaze me!! Skills, pure skills at it's best!!

  • Every track on this game really rocked. EVERY track.

  • Oh man, I love the way this song opens up with the bass. So awesome. It's so cool how there were two different factory stages right next to each other at the end of the game.

  • This would've been awesome for a Metroid Prime game, just saying.

  • Not really, thinking about it. Metroid Prime is all about ambience, etc. so this song would be out of place.

  • I suppose you're right, I just can't stop thinking about the Sanctuary Fortress X(

  • Sonic 3d blast, while not really being on par in the gameplay department, imo, (although I strongly recommend it to every wannabe babysitter...) with the genesis classics, definately doesn't need to hide in terms of sound. Boss music, Rusty Ruin, etc... Good ol' high quality.

  • I agree. While not on the same level as previous Sonic games in terms of gameplay it was still a pretty good game with one of the best soundtracks in the old school Sonic games.(Cuz Jun Senoue is awsome.)

  • I always liked the game. the diagonal look just made it that much more challenging, yet somehow didn't feel cheap...Actually this game is almost on par to the fun of Sonic 2 if I think about it. And some of those bosses were more epic and harder then sonic 2 IMO.

Basically I'm saying I love this game as much as the 2D-plane sonics.

  • I could probably build robots to this song...

''Robotnik's base'' stages usually have the best and most memorable tunes, and Gene Gadget takes the cake!

  • Its sounds so epic, like a final zone type of thing.

It suits the part of the game just perfectly!

  • I always admired this song from this game. It is my favorite one from this game and still is. I love the second act version too!!. I haven't play this game since 6th grade. Very cool game!!

  • it would always take me like 30 minutes to get to this zone

  • If you use level select like me, you can get there in seconds!

  • what is the code for level select for this game.

  • "BARACUDA":

    B, A, right, A, C, up, down, A at title screen

  • what do you mean by C

  • The button C. Like the buttons A and B.

Basic Sega Genesis controller has buttons A, B, and C as well as the D-pad.

  • do you mean like push up on it or something because I have a gamecube and PS2. do you know the code for PS2

  • Gamefaqs says it's:

X, Square, Right, Square, O, Up, Down, Square

So, that means X is like the Genesis B button, Square is Genesis A button, and O is the Genesis C button.

  • I love this song. My sister and I would play this in the options all the time

  • the person who made kirby warrior used a midi of this song in kirby warrior RPG 2

  • i wish they still had Saturn Out

i wanna played 1 so badly

  • My favorite track in the whole game :D

  • I can say from personal experience that this stage wasn't too bad and neither was the end boss. Both had their difficulties, but, didn't have anything that couldn't be easily overcome.

  • This song is just insane.

  • The genesis version sounds more epic then the saturn and pc versions. sounds cool. is this sonics last game on the genesis?

  • It was ether Sonic 3d blast or Vector Man 2 im not to sure but I know it was one of these two.

  • As far as Sonic games go? Yeah this was the last. Vectorman 2 came out in 1996, at the verrrry tail end of the Genesis's life. Not sure if it was the last game though.

  • Vectorman 2 was not the last game. It was Frogger in 1998 for major commercail releases. However, the very last game actually released on May 22, 2006 called Beggar Prince. It was not released in any major retailers but more like Beggar Prince's website itself but to the public. It was actually a rerelease of a Tawaineese RPG game that's been retranslated. So it was an 8 year gap between Frogger and Beggar Prince that no game was released for it.

  • Is this the Sega Genesis or PC version?

  • Sega Genesis version.

  • I always enjoyed Gene Gadget Zone's music. Thanks for posting it!
