Why do so many people think that fat kids is something we should avoid? They're harder to kidnap, tend to be less hyper cause they are slow and lethargic, they're easier to chase if they try to run (waddle) away, and they make excellent linemen in pop warner football. But in all seriousness its not like kids have a 9 to 5 job and they actually get to choose what they eat. Parents make that decision when they buy the food. Also let the kid run outside instead of being babysat by video games & tv.

(Yeah...because apparently kids smoke because a camel in sunglasses tells them to.)
It's the classic rhetoric that people with children (I won't call them "parents", because frankly they haven't earned that title) have been spewing for generations; Everything is someone else's fault, not theirs.
Maybe all we need is for someone to actually step up, yell at all of the people who try to blame others. I'm just a crazy internet person though, what do I know.
I agree, the parents are too lazy to teach their kids what not to eat, so they just want to get rid of all the "bad" choices so they don't have to worry about it anymore

Parents blaming Ronald Mcdonald because of their crappy parenting. Its not Ronald McDonald driving their kids to the resturaunts, its the parents.
Want your kids to stop eating McDonalds, stop taking them to McDonalds.
