why does the u.s. accuse china for money manipulation when the u.s. prints more money? and never participates in the kyoto protocol, and let companies pollute in china to make profits there?
Donald Trump has not always been my favorite of personalities, but undeniably does business all around the world & continues for yrs 40 yrs , one of the most successful businessmen in the world going back to the Kennedy days. The US is a business, This video speaks volumes on Obama if he were not a politician, he would probably starve. Trump on Obama, China, OPEC and more
who says we AMericans don't export? Just look at all the former NBA players we export...we're still the leader at something having to do w/exports!!! HA!
When this man said China should take climate change seriously to diffuse congress, I laughed almost fell off my chair... How can an analysit be so naive? Remember only one thing: There's no friendship among countries, only interests. Not to mention that recent years China has produced massive plantation and the forest coverage in China is increasing every year.
Do you think the US Govt. or Congress is not Corrupted?? Don't be so naive. Do every wonder the US and China goes sour and China started to throw away he US dollar. The US economy and stock market and job market will be halted. The US market will lose 60%- 75% Many people will lose their jobs and huge of inflation will happen. It will cost 3x more on any given budget. Can you handle the change? and any Americans handle the change?
Throwing away USD will actually hurt China more than USA. In several ways: 1) China has huge reserve in USD. If USD gets weaker, China hurts itself; 2) China economy is still export driven. If USA stops buying, China economy will suffer - unemployment will rise - there will be political instability.
USA stock market may crash, but there will be a revolution in China.
The fallacy in this argument is that the strong export driven economy actually created a strong domestic economy as a lot of workers have good paying jobs. So China won't collapse, they will still have a much more developed internal economy with higher tech. The US on the other hand having destroyed its industries will have trouble recovering, THEY will need to be export driven and attract those same manufacturing jobs.
It's true that once China can ramp up its domestic demand, it will not become a net export country but will start to be a net import country.
As for USA destroying its industries. USA is a mature economy so it is moving away from low-tech manufacturing to high-tech manufacturing/service/financial capital economy. It's a natural progression for all modern economies. One day China will too follow the same path.
What are you talking about, The high paying manufacturing jobs are replaced by low paying service jobs. Plus you don't have high tech manufacturing jobs anymore, they're gone too! Apple for example designs the Iphone in the US, but the parts are all made in Asia. And financial jobs were just due to a bubble. A country of USA's size must produce something. They still have a semblance of an auto industry, they need to stop killing industries that will never come back.
China will do what any American hating country does...sit back and watch the Republicans destroy America...China doesn't have to lift a finger...Europeans didn't when the GOP/WMD Party scared this country into a war that costed 3 trillion and 8 long years and we're still unfinished...as a result we killed Saddam by hanging? at least blow him up with our new fangled weapons you know? And we lost 5000 US GIs and countless iraqis, most of whom just wanted to live normal lives. Just sit back.
If there is a huge inflation, it will hurt those who have lended USA money at lower rate - like China! For example, if inflation jumps to 100%/year, people's salary will simply be adjusted (look at hyperinflation period of Brazil), but suddenly, China's REAL VALUE in its USD holding is HALVED!!!!
The problem with USD debt is that USA Treasury is NOT backed by hard assets protected from inflation! If they are, China can say, I don't want your worthless money, I want your land.
In light of the dangerous products being sent here from China tax breaks and other incentives should be given to US companies to encourage production here. How would you propose to protect the American public against the below standard products coming from China (or any other country) and encourage production and purchasing of American goods?
Roar119: If you are referring to those lead paint on toys, those were produced in China based on specifications of their AMERICAN purchasers. So, I would suggest you go protest at their headquarters in the U.S. of A. Savy?
The American public have virtually no say in who the USA trades with. All the important economic decisions are made by Wall Street and medium/large business owners. However, American consumers do have a choice in what products they purchase. If we dont trust China made products, just don't buy it, simple as that.
I can't believe people are asking the Chinese to nation build. Has humanity gone insane? Why do we trust the government to do the right thing? They will say they are doing the right thing but the agenda behind it will be totally different and corrupt.
The Chinese have been nation building for over 4 thousand years and has a reliable and proven record of building high living standard and very advanced civilizations. Americans like you don't like Chinese ppl getting better lives so you start shouting Bullshit about Evil Commie governments blah blah blah while ppl in China are getting happier and better lives.
The message that Americans seem to be sending to the Chinese and to people around the world is that they have a problem with people working hard to improve their lives, that is exactly what the Chinese populace are doing, with Chinese gov't guidance. Despite all the complaints about China, it is still the world's most populous nation, with an economic and technological boom. That alone says a lot about Chinese leadership.
