the first song really seems a Hawaiian song. wonder if the malaysian are somehow connected with the Hawaiian.

Not surprised if it sounds Hawaiian coz the Malays are believed to have spread across the Pacific Isllands including Hawaie. The native Hawaiian race is a branch of the Malays.

""mukhsin" is a lyrical little film with simple, sincere emotions"-->yasmin i hope dat this movie will be just that, it would be such a shame if sekali lagi ur work ends up being more of a controversy (despite the awards and recognition) and all the good values in it overshadowed and the message of the movie gets lost along the way, will keep my hopes up for this movie :)

sorry to disappoint you b.anjel. the thing is, "mukhsin" is a lyrical little film with simple, sincere emotions, and we didn't want to decieve the viewers by putting out fancy trailers. having said that, i think it's kinda sweet and gentle, and at the same time, sharply painful - pretty much like the film itself.

Dear Yasmin,

This looks like another great gem that I don't wanna miss. I love the song at the beginning - Adibah Noor has an exquiste singing voice! Sedap giler . I also love how you incorporate Nina Simone into the soundtrack. But, this trailer is kinda weak, IMO.

this movie is really great...even get nomination from berlim film festival...yeah....one of the best malaysian film in 21st century...huhuhu...this film should be Malaysia official entry for Best Foreign Language category in Academy Awards. If we can brought Puteri Gunung Ledang into that awards why not Mukhsin?
