I was so upset when this got cancelled. only partway through the video now, but from what I remember about the multiplayer it was gonna be amazing. Classes, vehicles up to 12 people all in the SC universe. Couldn't ask for much more at the time.

I like the idea of starcraft ghost but the movement was too fast when she climbed and when she did a silent kill. But other than that this game would be awesome.

- Nova has different stealth kills that have different perks (ie. round house kick to the spine followed by knife hand to the jugular or whatever, should give more attention than a simple pounce followed by neck break - but the neck break requires more precision to pull off and failure might have more drastic consequences; ie. nova falls prone).

@bighammerguy The AI also looked sucky. Why didn't the guard respond to the opening door? Most good stealth games require much more subterfuge elements. Also note how there has never really been a prized stealth game and stealth action is merely a combination of elements. That's probably what dissuaded blizz from persistence with this game's development. And eventually, it got canceled but because blizz takes a long time to develop games anyway, they consider it indefinite.

@lylatfox4 I know that, but I'm just saying. It was never cancelled. Blizzard recently try'd to get a website for the game, but china in all their knowledge said no, because ghost could be superstitious.
In the SC2 engine you can do 3rd person control, so it would be possible in there as well.
Personally, a few friends and mine did a hi-res skin of Nova and use her in UT3, we even do levels and scripts for cool events on there. It's just a theory, but possible to be done in it.
Why exactly was this never released? I think this looks pretty much like a final version...
There can't be that much stuff, that still had to be done... Oh well... There will be a point in time, when someone will make a StarCraft 2 mod, that will just do the job. (In case, there isn't one already)

Hitman Blood Money is also 4 years old and both the stealth and the action look better. This was just some awful action spin-off of a popular series, and that's the reason it got cancelled (or is being rebuild from ground up or whatever Blizzard is doing to it now)

@zxc56km6 Seems like it's more a stealth game than a shooter. I'm guessing/hoping that it would have been like Metal Gear Solid or Splinter Cell in that you only pull out a gun when you're found or feel like wreaking hell

While technically blizzard stated its not canceled just postponed indefinatly since they want to pic it up again someday. Though odvious this version of the game is cancelled since there clearly gonna have to go with anwe engine since this ones now dated, there also have to redo some character and vehicle concepts since much has changed since the introduction of starcraft 2.

this is going to be such a bad ass game!!! but they should really work on it more. i mean, the zerglings move like fel hounds from warcraft and the marines look just awful. if they will use the next get technology to make it i bet that it will turn out to be just really bad ass. i mean, it's blizzard we're talking about. they are famous for the story lines they make.

I mean this is a game from i don't know maybe 10 years ago, and the game never saw the light cause they canceled the project. they never finished it? i don't think they plan on finishing it or anything, however maybe they will redo the entire concept some day i don't know, but would be cool

Hitman Blood Money is also 4 years old and both the stealth and the action look better. This was just some awful action spin-off of a popular series, and that's the reason it got cancelled (or is being rebuild from ground up or whatever Blizzard is doing to it now)

Looks mediocre. I'm glad they didn't ruin the SC franchise with this. If Blizzard really wants to make a SC action game it should be AAA quality, not this garbage

@Broockle I doubt it would be on steam. With the way Battle.net works, Blizz might just compete with steam in the long run.
