1. Cast calm spell in battle.

2. Stand BEHIND the hermit's door - i.e. to the left of it. (Not in front, where it knocks you off, nor on the RIGHT side where it's safe.) Knock. Get squashed flat. Repeat.

You're probably playing the VGA remake. Personally I prefer this version just because everyone in the VGA remake looks like clay.

You missed one little death--at the graveyard, you can fall into the hole on the lower right hand side of the screen. I'm not sure but I THINK there might be a slightly different message if the spirits are around.

You actually can get arrested for lockpicking in this version, just like in the remake. You have to pick a barred door repeatedly. I'll post a video response to show this.

The faery circle IS walkable, its hard to get into, but you can get in there if you keep trying from different angles, and yes I am talking about the EGA not the VGA version,

the faeries make you dance until exhaustion and you die..

It's also possible if you eat mushrooms while the faeries are there and then try walking into the circle.
