These people don't spread gods word with love or show any genuine interest in other people. I'm gonna say this, I'm an Atheist and I think Fred Phelps is not entirely in contradiction to the bible, specifically, the O.T. It talks about killing gays ,,,,and entire nations, like Sodom, were wiped out because their sexual behavior. Now as far as Westboro rejoicing for dead soldiers and stuff like that, that is not biblical. However, the 10th-15th century preachers of early christianity were NOT much different than Fred. Also, Fred is correct he says "God hates" in the bible. Look it up.

It's true that religious freedom is allowed in America and it can be a real double edged sword. I am not going to bash their beliefs because obviously they are fanatical but I will say this and that is any religion that preaches hate and misfortune to their fellow man, woman, or child is IMO wrong. That being said final judgement is reserved for God and God alone and he or she will definately judge them as well as everyone else accordingly. Mr Phelps and his followers should prepare for theirs.
