My father died a few years ago and as upset as I was I couldnt cry and kept all the sorrow bottled uptightly inside. A few weeks after he died I played the Lotus Eaters CD and when this song came on, the part where he sings yill-lul-lay yill-lul-lay yill-lul-lay I broke down in tears and wept like I never have before.
Shows the power of music and the human voice. Really a terrific interpretation of this song.
I love DCD and Rakim is one of my favourite pieces of theirs - I never would have thought anyone else could have pulled off a cover and gotten away with it but this is truly wonderful!
The vocalist has a magnificentquality to his voice which really complements the strength of this song perfectly.
I love this cover It´s something unique. It ´s Rakim but they really risk in order to create something else out of the original. for me it´s like a trip listening to it and I always play it loud.!!! Love It.!!!
