  • If u no how to play the viola can you play this easily?

  • @LiveLaughLove3399tt Not for sure for sure but if you know one string interments then you know most of them. Just a little variation with each ones.

  • Hi guys,

I wanted to let you know of a cool new piano learning device in Gizmag

    Google “gizmag pianomaestro”

  • @AlexJC1998 its called the pentatonic scale

  • how do you know what frets to play?

  • its really unnessecary to learn proper music notation

  • @jangel2771 i know just learn Tablature

  • wait WHAT?!?!?!? Why is it on the 1st 6 lines its b c d e f g then on the 2nd 6 lines its e g b d f????

  • see guitarmanual.typepad.com/blog/ for beginning lessons! or google guitar manual blog and see first result.

  • darell dimebag Dont Read MUSIC SHEETs YEAH!!!

  • @mgdemon01 well he kicks ass, but i bet if you got really technical with him about what he's playing he probably wouldnt understand. i want to learn this so that i can compose music without having to have the instrument in my hand, and also so that i can read music

  • @mgdemon01 Yes, he couldn't, but Jody fisher, Joe pass, Charlie parker, steve vai, Joe Satch, Malmsteen And many more can. Dimebag was also very very sloppy, unlike these guitarist I layed out. Does that tell you anything?

  • too hard... LOL i have been playing guitar for 4 yrs now and im composing my own solo's in guitar but i still dont know how to read notes grrrrrrrrr... well not that its needed but i kinda want to learn how to cuz its nice to play classic music aside from metal...

  • You really don't need to learn music sheet if you want to play guitar, pretty much all guitar players read tab.

  • shuddup fool!

  • how would someone read an A minor or C major for guitar on sheet music?

  • how do i tune the D' down to the C#????

  • @catchingthelight1 with a tuner. or find another c# if your ear is good enough.c #s sit on 4th fret A string, 6th fret G string, 2nd fret b string and 11th fret d string in standard E to E tuning.

  • really??? 1:06 to 1:19

  • Can you tell me this, i know how to read notes on guitar( partialy) and i know how to read notes on sheet, but how do i combine them, every 5 tabs are new set of notes, can you explain to me that a bit here or mail me pls?

  • how do i know which string the note is in and what fret?

  • So easy a caveman can do it.

    HAHA @ 0:22 XD

  • Uhm where are the Sharp notes??

  • Alright Im starting a band but all i want to do is play lead vocalist

should I know how to read music and play an instrument or am I fine

  • this has nothing to do with Guitar. This is just piano sheets. How would this help you read guitar sheets anyway?..

  • Sheet music isn't only used for piano, it's just seen more for piano since guitar usually uses tabs. Professional players use sheet music unfortunately, you need to learn what fret on what string is what note, then read it with this method in the video. Normally you want to pick a song and use sheet music for it, and guess the string but keep the right note, until it's all together in one area for each verse.

  • lol u r funny there is different between tabs and sheets sheets are the original way to write down the music in guitar but a while ago like 10 years or something the invinted the tabs thing so anyone can play songs easily

  • @ChatDiva125 LMAO! You are fucking RETARDED!

  • for guitar, it feels like this is totaly pointless, but hey whatever wants to make them feel more musician like right? im being sarcastic, but really unnecisary

  • @bulletproofman323 Well noobs like you wouldn't know that the guitar has a large repertoire of music that is written in standard notation and that to play them, one must have an understanding of how sheet music works. Go back and read your noob TABS... LOL... OWNED!

  • @paranoiuhh Hmm, you are ignorant, simple enough, I have been playing guitar for 4 years and know how to read treble, bass, and alto cleff, you think i dont know anything? I see OTHER people using tab and agree it is nooby, I read sheet music, so you are rather dumb to be throwing out accusations like you personally know me.

  • @bulletproofman323 Lmao then why did you say this was pointless? Of course I'm going to throw out those kind of accusations if you say stuff like that XD

  • @paranoiuhh Well the only reason i use it is because its technically correct and must if i am to major in music, the reason i say it is pointless is because tab is so much easier and remembering to play things on a guitar is the easist thing in the world compared to other instruments. (tabs are nooby though)

  • tab is much easier

  • yeah but it suck

  • does it work.cuz i dont want to waste ma time watchin it

  • Cool reminder tips!

  • he has some hairy ass wrists O_O

  • a mix is what i learn even george bush desereves fudge

  • Umm I thought it was low e a d g b and high e

  • dude, that is the order of the strings on a guitar .

  • Im sooo confused O_O

  • Even George Bush Drives Fast? Genius. Never again will I forget EGBDF.

  • i learn it like Every Good Boy Does Fine

  • Huh? Im lost i wanna know how to play soo bad i think im gonna cry now cuz im not learing NOTHING!!! T____T

  • i think its best if u start with chords...and slowly make ur way up...

  • Don't worry about reading sheet music until you try to learn theory. Learn to use tabs first.

  • dang these expert village vids are so lame

  • Thankyou. Its not a full explanation but it does give me an idea on how to read guitar sheets. I dont care how easy reading guitar tabs are. I wouldnt be caught dead with tabs

  • ROFL!

  • I'm new at this and i'm just wondering...in EGBDF and FACE they both have E's. So is the E in EGDBF "low E" and the E in FACE "high E"? Or vice versa? Very newbie question, I know. Thanks.

  • @MidnightJade21

Wel the E in EGBDF starts on the LOWER part of the bar

And the E in FACE ends at the top (high) part of the bar.

  • its called money...

  • and its college fyi....

  • because some of us don't go to college retard

  • because some of us are not as rich as you, you see. that's why!

  • thanks i think it helped a slight bit but i still have to figure out which notes play where

  • lol most interesting thing is for example someone like...i dunno forgot but alot of famous guitarists dont know how to read and then everyone too lazy to learn it says " oh great guitarists dont either" !!! hendrix actually did!!"

  • dont listen to anyone shit anyway u taught me how to read note by the 1st person as in my life

  • holy crap this is confusing i have no idea how to read sheet music

  • You gotta learn Root Notes

  • SANTANA , he doesnt know how to read music.

  • so when ever u read it u only strum that 1 string... he confuses me!

  • damn queer

  • your gay

  • i dont like this guy

  • lol why?

  • i know how to read music but how do you know what string to play the note on because you can play the same note on different strings

  • thats my problem as well

i know how to find all the notes on guitar and ready really well

but iono how to tell what string your suppose to play

and i cant find a video or site to tell and show me how to, u know =D

    XD

  • thank you i want to play guns and roses

  • i dont bother with sheet music i just memorize what i play

  • then you will never make it.

  • Not true. Some people have huge minds that can hold any musical info inside.. u have no right to say what he will and will not do in the future.

  • there's plenty of musicians who cant read music. if im not maistaken, pavarotti never read music, and he made it BIGTIME

  • i hate tabs it's annoying

  • your gay

  • I play the violin so I've been using trebel clef a looong time... but how does it apply to guitar? I know where a is on the paper, but where is it on the guitar...

  • i know how to read the notes and stuff, but how do i know what position to play in. is there any way to know?

  • umm just lern TABS they way easyer

  • yeah i agree....BUT reading actual music on the guitar is good to, tab doesn't account for the rythm or what note values a piece has. then again learning to read stave for guitar (i can read it normall) is hard work! :(

  • thanks alot

  • when you read guitar tunings. like Drop C: CGCFAD is that first C the 6th string or is the D the Sixth string

  • the think string is d and the thick is c

  • C is the sixth string

  • ever girl's bikini does fall!!

  • Everyone guesses by difficult frets

  • umm,, it was alright but im a beginner it didnt really help much sorry

  • if i remember right, the treble clef is shaped like a G. right in the middle of where the G curves back into itself there is a line, on that line is the G note. So you can just count up and down for there, but it's still tough. The same applies to the bass clef where there is a line where the symbol curves back into itself, but I forgot what note is on the line, haha. I'm tempted to say that it's D.

  • dude, tab owns this shit, its much easier too read

  • yeah try handing tabs to a piano player or a saxophone player

  • you wont get anywhere by only learning tabs

  • so true but stop being a queer

  • how is that queer

  • your a queer as well so shutup

  • totally agree with you

  • @snipingcheese Try learning Fernando Sor's or Mauro Giuliani's more difficult works by trying to find tabs LOL... noob!

  • every gay boy does fags lol

  • every good boy does fine

  • good! thanku!!
