@loveanianimeme I believe it was originally on a cassette which I don't think you can get anymore (unless you order a used one online maybe). But he has a sort of compilation CD on iTunes called "welcome to my world" which has this along with all (or most of) his best songs

@BrighamHB I know this was posted two months ago, but just in case you didn't know:

The early cassettes are still in print. You can order them off Dan John's official website. They have always been available to anybody who wants them (like me, I have a few). Fairly cheap, too.

Now, granted, they are CDr copies, so there is a 2-second gap between each track, which the original tapes didn't have. Oh well.
