Maybe you should read the following passage to actually understand what the film's about!! The crew of the USS Enterprise travel from the 24th to 21st century to save their future after the cybernetic Borg conquer Earth by changing the timeline. In a nutshell, that's what the film's about!!!

1. First Contact was full of plot holes, the most glaring of which being why Borg, whose purpose in life is the assimilation of new technology, would destroy the technological progress of a Federation that is no threat to them. That's just the tip of the iceburg. The whole thing's kind of contrived and dumb plot-wise.
