Thank you! Dinkie trills as well when I call her and when she wants my attention. It is the sweetest little sound - I just love it! My dear, sweet Bambi, my calico who passed 2 yrs ago, would chirp at me all the time even when she was sleeping and I touched her.A sweet chirp:), but it sounded nothing like a Maine Coon trill :).Both are unique in their own way, but that trill is unforgettable :)

So cute! My cat makes that sound too, it's the first time I've heard another Maine Coon make that exact sound.

My friend, who made the comment about Dinkie's sweet little voice, has a Maine Coon and she told me that is called the Maine Coon "trill". I have never heard it before and none of Dinkie's littermates sound like her nor do they look like her! I just love it and when she wants attention she just goes on and on and on - love it!! :)

I call it "chirp", hehe. I've heard other Maine Coons make chirps/trills too, but they're all different kind of chirps as you pointed out by her littermates. Yours just made a sound mine does too, which I find quite cool :) Mine also wants attention. Preferably all the time she's awake. Maine Coons are so precious! I love how you filled the bathtub full of toys!

Dinkie is a born actress/con artist. She is pretty and she knows it! She will sit on the counter with that tail of hers wrapped around her and open her mouth and give the tiniest, most pitiful little chirp/trill as though she will faint at any moment from the lack of food! and, of course, I can't resist her so I sneak her treats when the others are around. She headbutts me and takes one of those big snow mitten paws and lightly tap-taps my arm. I have never seen anything as cute!
