  • I remember hearing about this on the news. Sad stuff, but an appropriate and beautiful song.

  • I just discovered your songs here and am so impressed. Man when your baby sings this, it takes a whole new feel.....a whole new fragileness to the emotions the families endured.......God bless you both and the music you love to share with the world. ~Peg

  • you both have a great gift (singing). This is a song that i think deserves to be broad casted on the radio. Its a song that everyone needs to hear. I am from west Virginia a small town called bradshaw. my grandpa worked in the coal mines and now his son does. I pray for those family's. Thank you for sharing the song. God Bless you and have a good day.

  • If I ever get up that way, I would love to sit around and pick n grin with yall!

  • I fell in love with this family's wonderful music from the McDowell County, West Virginia Genealogy site online. In the process I fell in love with West Virginia through their music. It warms my heart to listen & feel the love this family has for their home country & their neighbors. Check out their music you won't be disappointed.

  • Stacy & Alan, I saw this video back when you posted it, and it was so heart-gripping that I bypassed commenting at the time. I can think of no other person or 'duo' on this earth, that could give the miners a more honorable & beautiful tribute. A somber, yet awesome song/video.

  • This song is a great tribute to those who died at UBB, as well as respecting the work of coal miners. Its a part of who we are. We are Blessed to be from WV.

  • Great singing Stacy, great song Alan. It really touches me because I was a miner for 17 years.

I hope we get to record this soon!

  • The legacy in song your father and you have created will surely be cherished by the other victims of this terrible tragedy, the surviving family members. May they find some comfort in knowing their loved ones have been immortalized by your talents.

  • Stacy, Cathead, thank you for a beautiful tribute to those who were taken in the Montcoal, West Virginia, mine explosion. Alan, you did a beautiful job writing this song. God bless you and yours always.

  • @daisymaescragg As a P.S., I just wanted to add that it takes someone with a mining background to write a fitting tribute to fallen miners. I know that your family has that background, and it comes through in your beautifully written and beautifully performed song. Thanks again.

  • That was so beautiful. Our hearts go out to all the families that lost somone in the mine

  • That is a beutiful song, nicely written, preformed, sung, and a very touching tribute to the fallen miners. Thanks Stacy from your fan in VA

  • Very touching song, and such a pretty voice. Thanks for putting this together and sharing it. God Bless the miners and their families.

  • Awesome job guys! ~Howell

  • You really made this song special, Stacy! You sang it perfectly!

  • The saddest thing in life is when a person dies just tryin to make a honest livin'.

  • Such a sad and tragic event, but this is a very well written and very well sung tribute. May God bless you both!

  • God bless you !!!
