  • People who get close enough to be disarmed...should be shot. lol

  • @ :52 he goofs it up and misses his grip. An uke can make you look like a champ or sink your demo completely if he is not paying attention and waits too long for your technique.

The moral of the story? Don't try this stuff at home. Experts can still screw up under pristine circumstances even after rehearsing it for years...

  • Lucky my sensei is not as rough as him. he's so rough to his students.

  • Very impressive. He has great skills.

  • fast n good but he didnt move out from the line of fire. he didnt protect himself

  • @radicalteh could you react by shooting while surprised and not even having a second to pull the trigger before you're disarmed?

  • @crezyte0wnz thank you for your reply, n peace. but you've asked a question. it's not good to have too many questions with your life at stake. so move out of firing line, disarm him. anyway.just my opinion..may not be unversally right..

  • @radicalteh well moving out of the firing line is definately the RIGHT thing to do just not the always done thing when... sad to say

  • Guns are RANGED weapons for a reason you know....

    Stupid criminals

  • @jappyfish The intimidation factor is often a key to criminal success. The martial artist uses that to his advantage. Martail arts like judo and aikido, where you throw or manipulate an opponent, are not about meeting force with force. It's about flowing with the intent and committed energy someone has. That's why we see gun defenses working in the streets. We flow with that intimidation factor and the actions behind it.

  • Sensei Gordon is just one of the many incredible instructors @ South Jersey Aikido Academy, Im so lucky to belong to it.

  • dont wanna mess wiv him!!! :}

  • very excellent!

  • in the first and the secend techniqe i think the gun can still shit you cause until you take it away he is not fully redirected

  • if someones got a gun to ur head ur probly going to die, so u might aswel atleast try taking the gun from them, atleast with training like this u have more chance of disarming them than with no training at all

  • Interesting video.

Feel free to check ours out too.

  • Oh wow! never even think about pullin a fast one on dis dude

  • Thank you for posting. Peace and kindness to you and your family.

  • dude, the shihan's kiai is awesome!

  • the guy in black is amazing though he is like 10th dan but i've seen they guys he teaches on here and they are awsome 2!!

  • i wish they had Combat Akido In Brandon Florida but all you find is damn Tae kwon do or that Ultimate Fighter shit but i found something that i like its Combat Hapkido

  • Very clean technique! Explosive entries and follow up.

    Keep up the great work!

  • Superb!

    :)

  • Wow, definatley give this guy credit, fantastic speed and technique!

  • impressive

  • Very nice Suwari Waza Kotegaeshi

  • Notice the Uke has a reaction at around 0:23 where he looks disappointed that you took his gun.

Your movement is amazingly quick! This video inspires me to train harder! thanks Sensei Muller

  • well, if the guy is behind you its hard to judge where the gun is. If i were holding a gun, I wouldn't have it shove in his back then. Since I would not cross out the possibility that he might disarm me. But well, most thugs are dumb.

  • You must train for any possible attack and this is just a sample of this. Yes of course the thug can stay back with the gun but when he makes that mistake and you wait for such opportunity then you can react to disarm. Yes some thugs are dumb at times and some are very smart so becareful...........

  • well, i live in Singapore. no thugs with guns. I can assure you. and well, I do muay thai so i don't really train in situation combat.

  • 0:57 a blink of an eye

  • arent u suppose to move ur head or where ever the gun is pointed at before u begin the disarm?

  • You are. You are supposed to redirect, control, attack and then takeaway. However if you are as fast as this guy was I don't think it really matters. It'd be interesting to get a water pistol filled with red ink and see if he gets wet during it.

  • Just use Paint ball pistol so he really doesn't wanna get shot

  • not going to happen. There is just no reaction time left for the shooter.

  • @sarkoff RCAT sounds like you do Krav Maga?

  • I've watched a lot of their training videos but I've never been formally trained in it. The only thing available in my area was Tae Kwon Do. Now we have some more stuff like San Soo, BJJ, Jeet Kune Do, and Escrima but I do have the means to study them.

  • @sarkoff Sounds like we are in the same boat. Take care.

  • OrigelTJs...I've worked out with Gordon for years and practiced many of those gun takeaways...size has no bearing on their effectiveness and by the time the attacker is aware of any movement the gun is gone. If you have any doubts, I encourage to come work out with Gordon. You won't have any doubts after that.

  • Thank you pepsyman1 for that comment. I just let these know it alls talk crap and if they really wanted too, they can always come to the DoJo and work out and see how the techniques work. You must always take precaution with any disarm technique and not just react instantly. You must access the situation then disarm. Size does not matter and it's the angle of the disarm which prevents any discharge that may occur towards you. Yes I have techniques for someone pulling away the gun. Thanks again

  • well now i say this...u have techniques for someone pulling the gun...ok how do u know when someone is going to pull the gun?...

and yes it matters ur hand size...if u have samll hands its more difficult to control the gun second 45 to 51 those disarmings will make yourself get killed... again ur strong enough to take down that guy now imagine a 1.60 guy trying to do that to a 1.85?? can be done but not that easy no matter what

thank you hope sometime we can meet and echange techniques

  • yes true cuz ur fast enough, im just saying.. know ur attacker? ok ur confident of yourself and what u know, but every person is different i mean how do u know that the attacker wont be as alert as u or even more! would u take that risk? u know what means failing a gun disarm...

  • What are you a mexican ninja, whatz with the get up OrigelTs hiding behind a mask and a hooded sweatshirt niccccce real niccccccccce.

Lets see some of your shit instead of a promo commerical.

  • omg! watched the promo vid and what is that supposed to be? What's with the hooded sweatshirt hiding your face? come on now what are you looking for a quick buck or what....

  • i like how scared he looks before he does the disarming

  • Sensei Muller is crazy! But I just love how he performs those techniques!

  • Geezzz..Sensei Muller, you're brutal but very effective. I'm gonna practice those now.

  • Wow that's all I can say Sensei Muller. The gun techniques are very quick and controlled. I would love to learn those techniques for our training here. Are there more that you can show? and how long did it take you to be so fast and to control the weapon? Thank you for posting these great techniques and you make it look so easy.

  • Im sorry, I dont mean to be disrespectful... but very rarely did I see him move his body initially out of the way. It isn't enough to rely on your hands. It's fundamental... always move you body out of the line of fire first because the bullet is always faster than your hands. Good video though.

  • If you look close I am moving out of the way and placing the weapon back at the attacker in case the weapon does fire. You must becareful of incident bystanders when disarming an attacker in case the weapon fires. The camera is not at the angle where you can see the movement. You must gain control of the weapon and move at the same time so the attacker does not realize what is going on or he'll have a chance to fire. Speed is important when doing disarms. Thanks for watching.

  • This is so true. There are a number of times where he could have been shot had the move not been executed perfectly. You really need to be getting yourself out of the field/line of fire.

  • Very good speed! :O

  • Thanks again

  • Is your Uke in this video a Hapkidoka? I know your an Aikidoka but the other guys Gi looks like a Hapkido uniform. I do Aikido myself and ive noticed that Hapkido and Aikido share alot more techniques in common (especially with joint locks/breaks and throws other than all the kicking and punching )then they differ. Hapkido is a great MA that is very well rounded because of its offensive capabilities but for pure self Defense Aikido still rains supreme (at least in my book).

  • Thaaaa Fucckkkk, That guy is FLAshh at doing his moves

  • Thanks for watching and the comment

  • @YLoPlatano i am not so convinced fast moves work so great in a real situation

  • Seagal is good but it's all show for the money

and remember it's in front of a hollywood movie camera with stunt men taking the fall to make it more aggressive.

  • No disrespect to you Monger753 but Steven Seagal really is a 7th Dan Black Belt Aikikai. He is the real deal in every since of the word! I know what you mean though about hollywood making it look more aggresive to make money but contrary to what people might think of his acting abilities he could seriously ruin someones day if they tried to attack him in any way. Not to mention he holds black belts in Karate and Kenjutsu. He has also has studied Kali/Eskrima, BJJ and Kung Fu.

  • I'd say that if any gunman was stupid enough to get so close to a victim and still not have shot him/her, when intended, then yes these techniques would work.

  • These demonstrations are designed for close quarter combat. Yes if any gunman was far away it is very hard to try and disarm him. Remember these are last resort tactics and if the gunman makes a mistake then you must react as fast as you can instead of him taking advantage of you and take your life.

You must do something and that is why these techniques are posted.

  • First of all you must try and do something to protect you and your love ones. In close is great if the attack comes there. Far away you must be creative to figure a way to get the gunman close to you so you can react and disarm him. It takes alot of time and practice to do these techniques in the Dojo. Also remember if the guy is a drug addict or something he will do stupid things.

  • Wow, seriously awesome. What is this form of Aikido actually called?

    Great video!

  • ahehehe..^^

  • wow..^^

  • Thanks

  • That's Hollywood techniques that make the movies interesting. You must watch your surroundings and protect the people that are around from being shot from an accdential discharge. These techniques when done properly, the gun is facing back at the subject so if the gun does go off it will strike the subject not other people. In Seagal's movies this isn't so it's for show and that's it. When doing disarms you are responsible for that weapon if it goes off. I am a Seagal fan and love the action.

  • @DTHinstructor Seagal is one of the highest ranked aikido teachers on the planet, and does solid aikido disarms in his movies.

  • Sensei I hope when I visit NJ I'll get the honour of learning from you.

  • If you ever do come to New Jersey, please contact me and it would be an honor for me to train YOU. Thank you for the nice comment

  • Sensei Muller where do you teach? Do you have any branches in the Philippines? Im also an Aikidoka.

  • Sorry no I do not I teach in the USA in New Jersey maybe someday I'll get to travel. Thanks for the question and good luck in your training.

  • Yes, I am also based in the Philippines, I would also like to train with you!

  • That indeed is a great honor to hear that. I wish I could jump on a plane and come over there to train with you and your students. Thank you very much for that comment. Maybe someday if I do get a chance I would love that. Thank you

  • I like this video but its one thing i dont understand: How come you use a black gi in this video?

  • Sometimes I wear a black gi when I do demo's

in other schools such as this one. But I always wear the traditional Aikido uniform.

    See the other video's.

Glad you liked the video and thanks for the comment.

  • I really enjoyed seeing Sensei Muller's gun disarms. Real Old School, straight to the point no nonsense practical techniques. Your instructor(s), as well as students should be proud to have an instructor of your caliber.

  • Thank you again for the wonderful comment. I am proud of my instructors and students who endure this type of training. They train hard and I stay on top of them like my instructors did to me. Thanks again
