every playthrough of MM i dont know how i found it, even on the first time, but i never actually beat the game without that strong sword you get with the gold dust. come to think of it, i got stuck on the boss majora as well the first time and i never actually beat the game without the great deity mask. i just gave up the fight for then and focused on side quest until whala, i had this mythical mask with shit loads of power. every playthrough since, i have never beaten the game without the mask.

Its almost as if though Nintendo thought the Water Temple wasn't hard enough and then created the Great Bay Temple. Pure frustration, but you just had to complete the level!

@Zanmato007 Great Bay Temple is not harder than the Water Temple. And I can't understand at all how after 13 years, people still complain about that temple. My 1st time through was a bit rough. The 2nd time, kinda. But by the third attempt, The Water Temple became a piece of cake.

@gameaddict51 are you meaning the great bay temple is not harder than the water temple in OOT? if so i agree, i dont rememeber specifically having too much trouble with the great bay temple, but i remember the frustration finding that one fucking key in the water temple in OOT. fucking hell, it took me honestly like 5 playthroughs as well before i was confident with the water temple in OOT. and even then it was still a bit daunting.

@theophilis Yeah I mean, the Great Bay Temple doesn't have that risk. You don't need to do such boring and dull backtracking if there's something you missed. The whole concept of the temple is confusing at first. But it's much better done than the water temple.

I think this temple is the best one after the shadow one, the feeling of this temple is so amazing, I've never seen a temple this cold and mechanical. The impression given by this temple is amazing!

it's funny how the map of the dungeon shown in the picture makes the temple look easy, but back to the game it's the hardest temple of all the legend of zelda saga (I think it's much difficult that water temple in ocarina of time)

This was quite possibly THE most annoying temple in the history of Zelda. It was a serious pain in the butt to have to travel ALL THE WAY back to the beginning because you flipped a switch the wrong way . . . urg.

OK, guys, I've got a question: Is it a recurring theme in this series for the water dungeons to be ridiculously frustrating? I've played Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Spirit Tracks, and the water dungeons from the first two are both hair-pulling affairs. Spirit Tracks's Ocean Temple isn't too bad, but it also barely counts as a water dungeon since, aside from the boss room, there's no water in it, despite most of it being located below the surface of the sea.

All the songs in this game have this disturbing, lonely feel to them. This song scared me the most. I never expected a temple devoted to water to be so cold and mechanical. Like being lost in a dark, waterlogged factory.

Yeah I agree..The music is a bit sad and creepy and sorta has less tones of sound than OOt..it's more about a drum beat kinda thing. And I think it's cool idea that it's a temple but it looks like a factory, i thought that was a mad idea.

not really, i had no trouble using zora links shield attack(with romani chateau of course) to stun then attack when stunned. the fierce deity is simply just pressing the b button really lol

This is the Water Temple of Majora's Mask, not because of the fact that its water themed, but because of the difficulty.

I was not expecting to find a rusty metal scrap heap for a temple, and I loved it. The music just made it. It's best with the bass turned up high, that way you can feel the rumbling in the background, like long rusted gears slowly turning.

@distr0ia, I always hated getting the faries in Stone Tower Temple. So much blasted flipping, and rotating, and turning the dungeon over and over and such. :( It was worth it though, especially for this game!!!
