I've got about 3,700+ movies Blu-Ray and DVD and around 850+ TV Shows. Can email a list if anyone is interested email me at jaysmediasolutions@gmail.com.
Roughly 18 Terabytes. All ready to go and integrated with XBMC.
I don't even come close to having that many movies. But I usually back them up as soon as I purchase them.. dam habit of loosing them so this really prevents me from ever having to buy my movies twice like in the past. I honestly wish that the movie companies would offer a streamlined way to back your movies up in an affordable way..
Aeon has to be THE most beautiful skin I have ever seen for any program, on any device ever. I'm rocking Aeon NQ2 on Dharma using my laptop <3. Bliss.
How do you get to scroll across movie posters? I'm using the same skin.. but can't find the option to use images of my Music and Movies instead of a list in script.
@nickwallace25 7TB that a lot of space do you run any sort of raid? if so which one? Also what OS are you runnning it on? what is your average filesize for your hi-def movies. Im planning on building one myself using ubuntu server wlth a raid 5
@nickwallace25 3600 movies and only 7TB. You evidently aren't getting 720p or 1080p rips. Which is fine of course, it's your decision. I'm upwards of 12TB now of movies and TV shows. I've only got around 1000 movies though. XBMC rocks!! nice vid.
woaah how do you get the actors of movies section to display with pictures? and a searchable function for other movies. do you mind giving me some short instruction or something to look up on google to configure these settings?
hey, first of all, extremely nice setup, I'm just starting out with XBMC and trying to set up my music library similar to yours, I have no clue how you did it though, any tips or links to more information? would be greatly appreciated
Perfectly configured Aeon but aint 99% of ur films and stuff shit u wont c any second time? I just got way less content and my acer revo aint that fast than urs but im satisfied. But still nicely done lot of work, great!
I'm so impressed by this, it's the actuall inspiration for me to build my own HTPC just because it looks so awesome! But dude, where dit you get all your TV Show Thumbs that kind of in 16:9 format? All I find is in 2:3 format.
i have xbmc but i dont have movie covers like you and how did you get all those movies

A few questions!
1. Do you *actually* have that many movies?
2. How much space do they take up?
3. Would you be willing to email a list? (I am always having a hard time thinking of new ones to "acquire") theblevins AT gmail DOT com
4. Have you tried Plex? Any comparisons?
5. What sort of hardware is this running on?
6. How long has it taken you to amass this collection?
Thanks for the video! Great inspiration!
nathanaelblevins 9 months ago
@nathanaelblevins Yes I have about 3600 movies now, 7TB, I'll look in to a list. Don't like Plex but it's similiar. Years.
