Is it just me? It seems that Ross is trying to get Mitchell and Webb to open up and be candid about their motives etc, but fails because he doesn't have a friendship

with them and just ends up being rude. Due credit to both Mitchell and Webb that they are so polite to Ross and manage to make light of some of his attempted jokes/rudeness. At 2.27 David looks bemused and not a little annoyed.

Yeah, Ross comes off as pretty unengaged & patronizing with them, not much warmth off him at all. The dead pauses that are in here are all a result of his awkwardly pointed questions. The guys move smoothly to recover & rescue it. The audience aren't very giving either. Bit odd really, wonder if it's just coz not many people were familiar with Peep Show back in '06? That seems to be the vibe. Reflects badly on Ross' attitude towards new talent though. ('I've seen them all rise & fall' -pah!)
