tail blades are the wrong way around..

That would explain the bobbin and lack of control..

@radc6969 have a read of past posts mate it wa wrong way round for ONE picture :) and was right way round by time you see it lift off :D noob mistake forgot which way the tail blade swung till i had the main blades on ;) but this is a couple of years ago you know? weve well moved on since then lol

How do you find flying your heli in the park, I'm always getting bothered by people with dogs when i have my 450 out for a spin. One eye on dogs the other on the heli.

They chase it around and cause me no end of hassle. lol

@o0dekker0o yes to MG's mate :) and coreless for the tail :) to be honest i dont like flying it when people are around :( i feel much more comfortable flying my 400 as its smaller :) but after learning to fly heli's i seriously think i preffer tricopters :D and feel way more safe flying a tri than i ever did with a heli :)

@0n3m1s1s0 yea i bought one from hobbyking, trex 500 for 35 bucks but the kit doesn't have any electronics, ill prolly put electronics in it but i doubt i will use it for tricks, just for flying/recording stuff, need to find the cheapest route, your setup is insane lol

@buckamoona i so wish i had done the same bruv trust me :( so you done good ;) btw the trex500 don't come with any electrix either :( just motor and esc :( HK got everything you need to get that bird up in the air and if you have a look at the discussions you will find all the tips needed too :)

so have you learned how to fly yet? seems like you have a bunch of different r/c heli's and your still just doing nose out hovers for 10min at a time. you gotta be in control of your heli not the other way around lol

I have a Blade 400, only about 2 months, but I'm getting there. :) I can hover forward flight, and land it smoothly where I want. Nose in hover is my next "simulator training session".

Cuppla questions:

1. How does the rex compare to the blade? (stability/response/etc)

2. Do you still fly the blade?

3. I may go for an electric Trex 600 way off in the future...value for money over the 500 in your mind??

1 it is better quality bruv ;) needs abit more work to setup right but flys more stably and cuts through stronger winds ;)

2 yep even though i said the above the blade 400 is MY fave heli but mine is so modded it doesnt fly like a blade 400 no more so bear that in mind ;)

3 get the 500 mate as the price of the things needed to fly the 600 will be waaay more expencive than the 500 ;) ie when i bought the 500 lipos for it was £80 and lipos for the 600 were £200 in the model shop i got mine from

cheers bruv i would say electric all the way but others might disagree lol if youve never flown a heli before i would get a 4ch coaxial 1st like a lama or blade cx2 then move onto a blade 400 when your comfortable :)

cheers bruv took me around 12 hrs over 2 days bruv bit i was on a go slow taking my time and reading the manual as i went along another person said it could easily be built in half that time if you know what your doing ;)

You look well chuffed with that first flight mate and i would be too, thats one sweet looking heli even in stock config.

Im so confused where to go with my next heli when im good with my HBFP lol, i dont know whether to get a cheapy cp esky type or go for something like the blade or even whether to go straight to something like the Trex 450 or 500, how does this compare to the Blade400 mate? Much more stable i bet? Also does this look much bigger than the Blade400 or Trex450 in the flesh?

i was mate :D as for which heli next heres the options HBK2 airframe (£30 last time i looked) move your electronics over to it but it needs the brushless upgrade badly, BLADE400 if you fancy but dont have a DX6i possibly best choice but needs metal gear servos at least! trex 450 if you aslready have decent radio gear that you dont wanna change, or TREX 500 if you plan to get a whole new set of radio gear :D best heli of the above but you gotta build to your specs

Cheers, i think i would be better to carry on flying my little HB like crazy and wait till i save up for a good heli rather than keep spending on cheaper helis.

Over at heliguy they have a 2 x 450's, one is with cheap gear installed and the other has all the better stuff like the DX7 and the GY401 gyro, i think i would be better waiting longer and saving up more to get the 450 as i want it first time, its a lot of money though so would take a whilst 678.26 but looks quality gear what you think?

They also do a 500 with all the best gear with it RTF but this is even more expensive so i would have to wait even longer to save. I dont mind waiting though if in the end i get something that is going to last and fly well.

Do you think the 500 is worth the extra cash, i think the bigger size for one will help with seeing the thing in the sky and keeping orientation lol.

YES!!!!!!!!!! and its easier to fly too for a few reasons if your serious about just getting one good heli save for the 500 mate :D its well worth it!!! and better than any 450 btw the pheonix 500 flasher is a direct copy of the t500 and can be bought a fair bit cheaper if you look around same again with the copterx 500 se both come with all the metal upgrades as standard ;)

naaa u were right mate i name ALL my heli's N3M1S1S till i complete the modds i fancy doing then when they show me thier unique look they get thier own name lol tho ive only named 3 officially the MONGRILL (bcx2) the PROTOTYPE PROBE (LAMA V3) the N3M1S1S 1 (blade 400 with helicommand) but there is a forth about to be released the KILLA B (HBK2 carbon everything apart from metal head n tail)

cheers mate :) im using the align 6s 2600 with a 12 tooth pinion for now mate and yes iwas robbed :( 73 quid each :0 bough three of them :( then saw zippy 6s 5000mah for 70 dollars :0 :( i was f*cking fleeced!! with that sorta money spent on lipos i had to go out and get a bantam e-station bc6-10 (another 120 quid :0 ) but it is proppa though a thing that cant really be said for the imax b5 which is good but NOT acurate when charging lipos :( dont get a b6 to charge 22v!
