that is by far the stupidest thing i ever seen...... ok so once your out of your drivway you no longer need them because i'm sure the ride cannot be smooth at all!!
Guys, i've been using these for about 10 years now, they work great, quick, and if you mount the correctly, you don't feel them being on the rim (passing Germany doing over 120 mph for hours, just because you are aloud;-)) just bought a new pare for on my Quattro, since the ones i have/had are to small now..
What testing was done to find out what the hub thing does to the tire balance, not to mention the handling at high speed will definately be affected if the idea is to keep the hub things on all winter. Is it affected a little or alot? who knows?
@polaris911 Yes Polaris, once the opportunist thief either jacks both side of the car up in the air or uses the keys to move the vehicle forward. Also, now they are the proud owners of used snow spikes that probably have a different size tire than their own car.
Looks flimsy

Couldn't anyone just walk up to the car, unclick the locking mechanism and steal these?

@polaris911 Yes Polaris, once the opportunist thief either jacks both side of the car up in the air or uses the keys to move the vehicle forward. Also, now they are the proud owners of used snow spikes that probably have a different size tire than their own car.

@polaris911 no you have to drive a feet for removing the chain
slettebjorn 3 months ago
@polaris911 Yeah, it would be easy just pull it from under the tyre, especially in the snow.
PhotoShopChannel 3 months ago
@polaris911 They would have to jack your car up because after they are installed, the tire sits on top of them.
DRWebster93 3 months ago
@polaris911 they have to move car remember

@polaris911 - not while you are driving. worried about theft? remove them..
