If CEOs need "bonuses" to give them an "incentive" then why not the rest of the working population? If I do a great job I don't get a bonus.
These huge bonuses actually mean the CEO has no incentive to make his company a success, as he will be so loaded with money it won't matter to him if the company fails.
Thain may have done his job for finding a "safe haven" for ML but guess what? HE WAS DOING HIS FUCKING JOB!!!!! No one else gets million dollar bonuses for doing their jobs. That's what's wrong with this country. People expect extra just for doing what they are supposed to do. Fuck this guy.

His predecessor Stan O'Neal really screwed it up. And yes, he's the captain of the ship, but he was put there to take over after someone shot the previous captain for doing a lousy job after the ship already took off.
You`re telling me that someone out of the 300 million americans couldn`t of done a better job than him and asked for no bonus ..... Why should anyone get 10 million for doing a job that so many others would do... BETTER.. and ask for much less pay.
