I have an 02 ford f350 with the 7.3 with the westin v blade a it works really good and i have th same strobes and wolo hide aways and 4' firestiks off the 03-07 trailer mirrors i up graded to (thanks for the idea) and my friend has a 99 chevy 3500 6.6 dually that has the boss wide out with the boss sander almost same set up as protouchllc just older videos great guys ill get one from us as soon as we get enough snow
notone- I think the chevy would be fine, the suspension do give alot more than the fords. You might be touching the wing tips/plow corners on the pavement hitting some bumps. Id through a set of timbrens or firestone air shocks up front to help it out. We have had to replace alot of front end parts on our chevy last year. Not saying they cant hold the weight, it just seems to us that they wear out/weaken faster.
Thats what I was hoping to hear. I'm actually having some work performed on the front suspension tomorrow. I have two large open lots that those wings would sure come in extremely handy. Boss ought to provide you guys with some serious kick backs watching your video helped sell me on the Boss plows. I just wish that Ford truck came in the same box as the plows(some assembly required of course).
Just purchased two 9"-2" Poly VXT Blades can't wait for the white stuff to fly. Do you think a set of wings on a 6.0 chevy 2500HD would work ok or do you think it would be to much weight?
This is the last time I'm going to say this. We are not taking video to "show off" technique or how fast we can plow. Just taking videos to show the equipment as per several requests on forums. Do you think if technique was the top priority here I'd be out filming instead of being in my truck plowing this lot as well? I'm sure there are plenty of desk chair snow plowers out there who can critique every last bit of film. We take care of our customers and run an efficient operation.
I swear landscapers and snow removal men with V plows dont f*** around you can tell by how far the unit sits out, its not here for the games. Keep up the good work boys. Heading out to buy a 93 Chevy 2500 tomorrow looks good on the net lets see what it looks like in person.
Jmac- We were just plowing for "show" for this video, yes, it would be more efficient to windrow then scoop at the end. If we wanted to be efficient I wouldn't have been taping.
M34- The 09 6.4psd is sitting at the head of the lot, you can see it when the trucks back up. The gray truck is an 06 ford 6.0 psd and the 2500hd is an 02.
No offence thats a 07 not a 09 the grills r diffrent aswell as the diesel motor if there is a way plz tell me i like the lookof the 99-07 f-series trucks
Why do you scoop every push,in that light snow you should be windrowing. And youve bit off too much and have spillover you need to replow every time.I see the return springs,no upgrade to dual acting pistons?
the chevy has a 36" voltex led lightbar that i bought on ebay really cheap and the 09 ford has a 29" led voltex bar bought from the same place. the 06 ford has 2 soundoff mini pinnacle led bars from sirennet.com along with a 4 head 60watt hideaway strobe system.
ford is an 06, chevy is an 02. The boss plows have been awesome, no issues whatsoever. I will try and get a vid of the dump with blizzard plow combo up soon. The chevy has a hypertech tune, true dual exhaust and an aem brute force cai. the 6.0 stroker just has a k&n cai that came on the truck when we bought it. i swear it has a tuner on it b/c its pretty quick for a stock truck.

I agree with whsih24, this is by far the best video on youtube. You should definetly look into getting a vid of the salt spreader. Again nice nice setup and please post more videos!
this is probably the best plowing vid on youtube i think! all 3 trucks are sick!! what plow do u have on the 250? are u a full landscaping business or just snow?
we operate in parma, seven hills, north royalton mainly. he is scooping to take some bulk out of the snow so that when he windrows there is no spill off on the leading edge of the plow. you get used to the length of the trucks after a while. they all pull double duty as daily drivers/personal trucks so thats the compromise. thanks for the compliments
great video!
