Great idea! One thing I might suggest, is buying a color correction gel. One thing proper photography lighting deploys is a colour spectrum thats as natural to the eye as possible. Now domestic lighting is a mess. Tungsten is basically orange, fluro is kind of green and so on. But you can get correction gels that basically fix the colour spectrum. from bad domestic light to good natural light. Nice cheap fix. Plus. If you suffer winter depression, sticking rgem on tungsten lights fixes that too.

hey thanks for your idea with the basics you showed i had made a boom umbrella holder for overhead lighting i also added a dimmer to control the lighting.its good inventors like you that help photographers out....no money..big picture out come.

OMG - that is totally Indian. I worked a decade with Indian manufactures and they can really stretch a buck. Basically, Indian people are the ultimate MacGyver. I kept wondering what he meant by sweeping rod. Then I realized he mean a broom handle.

Man good thing he's using CFL. An incandescent would melt his eco freindly housing in less than 10 minutes.
