  • They say don't do it, but it DID put the fire out.

  • I could feel the heat from here

  • thx for the education

  • I once suggested pouring water on a home-made candle. Fortunately, we were in the woods, for it resulted in a 15 foot fire-ball.

  • Look us up on Internet

  • water put it out though

  • @butterz2butterz2 Think before you do ANYTHING! WATCH THIS!! /watch?v=j95_gFWD9lc

    NEVER PUT WATER ON IT!!

  • Why is it that the incorrect method was the only one that actually made the fire go out?

  • @marshalljimduncan yea, with the cost of your face to be charred

  • nice ! i'll try it now. thumbs up if you think it will not happens...

  • It's all pretty good advice, I guess, but wouldn't it make more sense to simply put the lid on the pot? I don't know about you, but I usually keep the lid handy while I'm cooking, so it's a faster and easier method than looking for a baking sheet or going to the sink to prepare a wet towel.

  • @logik316 That's the first thing they said. Were you even listening?

  • @dandymcgee

Yeah, but I guess I didn't quite understand the foreign accent. Not everybody speaks New Zealand-ish, you know.

  • @logik316 New Zealand-ish? Haven't heard that one before! But thanks, I'll take that as a compliment...

  • @nzfirechick

I speak NewYork-ian, nice to meet you :-P

  • That vehicle is a fantastic tool. I have to show my kids this vid.

  • @6alarmfire Who is watching the demonstration to see the correct method? Its the incorrect method that everyone wants to see!

  • @thekiwicanuck Unless you're in your kitchen and your house is at risk. Then you'll be glad you know why NOT to put water on it.

  • @thekiwicanuck the incorrect method is troughing water into the heating pan!!!

  • It wasn't my intention to make the children cry...!

  • @vanisland17 Might pay to reconsider that comment buddy...

  • @thekiwicanuck i meant New Zealand... sorry

  • @vanisland17 People have died for less! :D

  • @thekiwicanuck lol :P thats a pretty cool fire trailer they have. Nanaimo FD has one like a house that they put on fire. Good learning tool for kids

  • @vanisland17 Cool, the NZFS has a little one too, just a smoke generator in it though. I'll upload that one in a few weeks.

  • @thekiwicanuck Nice. Look forward to it. I have to do a smoke test training for joining LFR so should be interesting

  • Great show but so many moaning kids in the background!

  • @tebags Couldn't agree more!
