I just had this surgery a few weeks ago- I was very suprised...despite a 5 inch scar going down my leg and a few holes I had no pain at all! l was very suprised and I didn't take pain meds after the surgery either...I tore and dislocated a few other things in my knee though at the same time and those were fixed so it was more complex...but if you think something is wrong with your knee- don't mess around and go see an orthopedist. Knees can support you your whole life!
