Culture Club were much more successful worldwide than Duran Duran et al and ultimately in the music business that is what is important.

I knew number one would be Duran Duran. They are so popular in the UK & the US, and they're definitely the most famous out of all those bands. But it shocks me so much that Culture Club was number 4! I thought they'd be number two. Adam and the Ants don't seem to be very popular here in the US. But they are my favorite on the list...
