Ghost notes aren´t heard as much as felt. He does not play exactly like the original but it´s a cover and a good one in my opinion.

@kakekongen97 Ghost notes that are played very quietly. The Rosanna beat is really made from having the ghost notes on the snare to fill in the hi hat beat. Listen to the original song and you'll hear it.

Even the best of the best have a hard time with this song.

Where's the diddles on the snare? they are throughout the whole shuffle. Good timing though! Sometimes it's cool to play a song and not follow it but that shuffle pattern between the snare,bass and hats are what make this song!

yeah,most would wail over the lack of ghost notes between the backbeat, but it sounds coherent and original. Not everyone strives to be jeff porcaro's clone. If anyone has heard simon philip's version of the half time shuffle, it is very different from porcaros, it trades off more between hihat and snare than just hshhshs hshhshs

@MultiPussyTickler see whenever he hits the snare? Its supposed to bounce right back up according to Newtons 3rd law of motion (lol idk why i put that). When you just simply hit it and let it bounce, itll give a more open sound but if you keep that stick down by force, itll choke it a little (shorting out the sound). Some people do the same with the bass drum pedal. if youre a drummer im sure youll know what i mean.
