  • but what is the key, where can you find them??

  • Hi @TheChaimae12345,

The Pre-Shared Key is usually shown on the back of your wireless router.

  • Hi @MrLilReechy,

It sounds like the WiFi is working on the handset but not recognising that the router is in range and able to connect. I would suggest resetting the router and the handset and trying again.

If that doesn't fix the issue, let me know and I will help further.

    Thanks,

  • Hi @DUBSTEP201111,

Oh dear. Is the router in range and switched on? Have you made sure that you switch on WiFi before searching?

  • @ThaDutchFella no... btw i set up my wi-fi by my self. :)

  • @ilovegeorgeharrison4 lol just kiddin

:P but u do really know what a wireless router is right???

  • i have to enter a code via router ?

  • @123456789101112josh

You can normally refer to your router for the WiFi points access details.

Your router may come with a sticker on it detailing both the WiFi points name and also the password you need to use the connection.

    Thanks

    Holly

  • myin keeps saying to type a code into the router ?

  • Hi @craighayleigh,

You shouldn't have to enter a code via the router. The code should be shown on a sticker on the router and you type it into the handset.

    Regards,

    Heidi

  • @VODAFONEUK What iff their isnt a PSK on the router what do you do then?

  • @SP1D3RMAN75

If you haven't been provided one and there isn't anything on the router itself then you would have either set a password up with your provider when you activated your WiFi or it isn't password protected and will show as an unprotected connection.

    Thanks,

    Phil

  • @VODAFONEUK no mine does this also the same as craighayleigh

  • and to turn the GPRS off, they recommened turning off data services. Which of course turns off the WiFi which is a data service. Great phone but don't expect to use it through your home WiFi. There is no way to turn off only the GPRS only. I found that if u turn all connections off, then only the wifi, you 'might' connect with a white wifi. Then turn on your mobile network. It should hold until the wifi drops and then you are back to sq1 with slow GPRS transfer again. Too frustrating for words.

  • nope, that doesn't do it. Design fault with the phone. if you have the grey wifi as seen in the video, you have connected to the modem but DO NOT have internet access. The wifi symbol has to turn white for that. But, here's the problem. The genius at blackberry keep the GPRS switched on unlike Android phones where as soon as wifi connects it turns GPRS off. Now you have a conflict with GPRS taking preference. BB solution, turn mobile network off. Sure, do that & u can't make or get calls! genius

  • NOT NOT NOT, the wifi must be white, and then you can use it

  • Can u hve notes and airplane mode????

  • Hey blackberry curve users

im trying to connect to my wifi but is asking me for a PSK (Preshared key) what do i do?

  • Hi @killalevin6,

The PSK is the security code that you will need to connect to the network. It can sometimes be found on a sticker on the back of the router.

    Thanks, Heidi

  • I got this phone 6 Hrs ago. I hate it. Wasted all my money.

  • @S00rabh Cause u cant use it? :S

  • @Daffy960

Because its useless. Sorry if you are BB fan. But truth is I came from android(Waiting for SG3 or Nexus Prime) and I hate BB. Worst devise I have ever owned.

  • @S00rabh I am not a BB fan at first place :)

  • Hi @S00rabh,

I am sorry to hear that! :(

If you are within the first seven days, you can return the phone. If you go to vodafone.co.uk, you can see all the phones that we stock and pick the one that's right for you.

    Thanks,

    Heidi

  • Best Phone cant wait to get it :D

  • i have to put a pin into my internet router but don`t know how

  • Hi @kyrewiet

Some routers will already be supplied with a WEP or WPA Key and can usually be found either on the back or the underside of the router.

If you need to create your own security key you would need to refer to the manufacturer instructions of your router.

Have you tried to connect to any WiFi connections other than your home one?

Our interactive phone guide on our Help Centre will also provide further information on how to connect to WiFi.

    Many Thanks
