@XchristianHeathen I would say that I would add all the above when it comes to theist's. How do I understand Theist's so well?? I try to not think at all, and then I take away all reason, accountability, common seance and logic. yeah that sounds about right.
Wait a second . . . I thought you said Atheist. LOL I would have left your post as is, it was rather good. Sorry, thought you was bashing Atheists not Creatards. Later.
If their god never manifests in reality, why pray? Also, why do they care at all what he thinks or what he does(did), if those thoughts or deeds(?) do not and cannot manifest on this plane of existence?
Before we proved the Atom was real, it was of no consequence to anyone for any reason, for all intents and purposes it did not matter whether the Atom existed or not. However after we proved the Atom was real, then we could and did do all sorts of things with it.
That is a great example. It's the question that drives us, and the knowledge that makes all of our lives easier. I find it funny many theists reject science or just pick and choose which part of modern science they will accept. When we wouldn't even be having this conversation with each other without the tools and technology that allows us to connect from any where in the world. What has religious theology ever brought us that has improved our lives.
I watched this live. The caller doesn't understand what "unfalsifiable" means. Later in the call, he says you could still search for answers contradictory to his unfalsifiable god...which can only mean he doesn't REALLY believe it is unfalsifiable.
Also, it being "unfalsifiable" cannot be its foundation, as the caller claims, as there are countless unfalsifiable claims equal to the one he picks. So the foundation of the one HE picks cannot be its unfalsifiability, but just his preference.
The rest of the call is available in Part 2. Unfalsifiable is defined as not capable of being proved false. He's trying to give this as a justification for his belief. The point Matt attempts to get across is that believing in god just because you can't disprove his existence is not how rational people think. Truth is not subjective to what you choose to believe. I think the caller gets on shaky ground when he stated anything about truth using such illogical thinkin
Yeah I was impressed with this guy even though his thinking was totally irrational. He was well spoken, and at least had some intelligent responses for Matt that didn't include the usual nonsense. Even though I don't agree with him, I felt he at least held his own against Matt's rational assault on his unfalsifiable god.
that doesnt make anysense? beleiving something unfalsifiable...? my brain hurts from stupid people

I wasn't happy as an atheist so I became a suicide bomber and now I have 72 virgins. It was totally worth it. (:

"how do you write woman so well?
I think of a man---and I take away reason and accountability." sounds like all theist's

Someone asked me once: How do you understand Theists so well?
I said, " I try not to think at all, and then I remove common sense and logic."
Makes it pretty easy.

It's just like you know that unhealthy food makes you fat and you still eat it, Matt.

I listened to part 2 again, and I think the caller may have understood what Matt was saying. It may take a little time for it to sink in, though.
It sure was nice to finally get an intelligent conversation with a believer instead of "look at the trees", or, worse, all the trolls.
