  • I used No-Poo and One Condition for the first time yesterday to clean and condition my hair. I left some conditioner in since I have very dry, densely packed curls and a lot of frizz. I can't say that my type 4 curls and frizz are any more defined than they've been with other products that I've tried, but I will say that today my hair feels more moisturized, more plump and juicy than it's EVER felt after only a wash and condition and no extra products. I can't stop touching it. It's insane.

  • I want to try this!!!

  • Can you use the No-Poo or the One Condition on dry hair? My hair tends to get frizzy and I lose a little bit of the definition in my curls a day or two after I cleanse so I was wondering if I could use either the No-Poo or the One Condition on my dry hair to help get rid of the frizz and redefine my curls?

  • I used to have ringlets, and immediately after a shower my hair looks nice and curls up, but it gets frizzy and limp throughout the day, winding up with some curl/wave and some that's just... straightish (my hair has grown long, to about the middle of my back). I rarely see ringlets anymore. What do you recommend I should do?

  • ohmigoditsL.@ greasy & frizzy dont go together.Frizzy means dry, not greasy! Please stop by for a cleanse , we would love to see you ! Please mention this post too!

  • @DevaCurl haha it can if you are black. Putting grease in your hair often doesnt stop the flyaway frizz (typical hairgrease is actually drying...i didnt know that till recently)

  • @DevaCurl Do you have any suggestions on some products like cleanser, conditioner, and gel that I can buy at our local Walmart or Target? Thanks so much for the wonderful book!

  • more people should be informed about this!it's true!

  • will you ever get a salon in chicago?!?!

  • *giggle* That was brilliant. Good definition of sham-poo ;)

I wish every curly girl (and guy) sees this video. Set your curls free!

  • In the past year or so I decided to stop fighting my curls and am loving the Deva products. I get tons of compliments on how my hair looks and am always looking for new tips on how to style and treat my curls. Devachan has so for been the sanest approach.

I recently ordered the DevaSun Dryer, despite it's steep price (I am anxiously awaiting the FedEx guy), and hope I love it as much as the other products.

  • I just started using the DevaCurl No Poo Cleanser and One Condition conditioner and I absolutely LOVE them! My hair has never looked better. One caveat is that in addition to using these products, you also need a good cut. You can find a salon on their website. Thank you DevaCurl!! I'm in love with my curly hair again!

  • I started using DevaCurl products in my hair about 6 months ago and my hair has never been healthier. You have a new customer for life! Thanks DevaCurl!!

  • i HAVE to get these products, i'm only 14 but i'm tired of my hair being so greasy, frizzy and flat>:( i'm going to new york in 2 weeks so i'm hoping that we may be able to stop by there. do you have to get a haircut to get those products used on your hair like many people do in the videos or can you just get your hair washed there? if so, how much does it cost?

  • You do not have to get the cut, although it would surely make for the best possible curls if you did.

  • Im so getting this.

    Thnkx.

  • Yeah! also check out the Deva 3 step video!

  • i wish that i have that product.

  • can you buy this at a store or do u have to order it... if so what stores?

  • were can i buy diva curls products as i live in new zealand? i like the hair dryer a lot :)

  • Has anyone tried the "haircipies" in Lorraine's book?(the old book), I'm working my way through them...I think I've found afew of them that could be my favourite! I also use Deva and found a very happy combo!

  • Ok, what are the the only thing products I should use for regular curls?

  • all these curls make me crazy!!!

I love and embrace my coily curls now!!!

  • I have been using the product line for about three weeks now and absolutely love it! I have an appointment on Saturday at Devachan for a cut and color, and I'm really excited to see how my hair can look even better! I used to have straight hair, and after it fell out from chemo, it grew back in curly and frizzy. I had NO idea how to take care of it. I've gotten so many compliments already. THANK YOU!!!

  • You are very welcome!

  • I would like to offer this product to my curly hair clients.

  • were do you buy this stuff?

  • will the no poo or low poo clean the hair and get out the grease?

  • Of course! Our botanicals will cleanse and hydrate when you use your fingers at the scalp and apply friction with a circular masaging motion. The result is soft, shiny, manageable frizz free curls! Enjoy.

  • Yes. This is a common question. At Deva, we believe that excess "grease" is simply the overproduction of oil from the sebaceous glands caused by too much shampooing. The glands kick into overdrive trying to overcompensate for lost moisture and tend to overproduce which you are interpreting as "greasy".

  • I honestly don't think that's the case for my hair. A) I have greasy skin as well, and b) I *tried* switching to a gentle sulphate-free shampoo, (not your product, but so far as I know it's not available retail in rural Australia) and my hair never had anything less than three days worth of grease in it, even right after washing, the entire month I stuck with it. I wore bandanas a lot.

Oh, and as for putting SLS on the face? Every cleanser I've read the ingredients list on had it or relatives.

  • Have you tried any of the "hair-cipies" in Lorraine's book? I have, and I also use three of her products as a treat for myself. Some you my have to tweak, like the Glisten to me shine spritz. That can be VERY rich. It can make your skin very slippery (and the floor!) but, it does a great job in making your hair shine and really puts moisture in it too!

  • how does this product differ from chaz norman's "wen"

  • I am not familiar with this brand.

  • I am so GLAD I found these products!!! They are well worth the money and make my curls shiney and soft and managable and FRIZZ FREE!! My poodle days are OVER!! I can't thank Lorraine and Sherri enough for making these products!!!

  • Thank you for your comment and for your Deva passion!

  • omgggggg at the end in the bloopers when the girls flip there heads down and scrunch there curls to make them more big ... I DO THATALL THE TIME love big curly hair

  • that man is verrrry good looking

  • Yes, he is! And he has amazing curls!

  • I have been using these products for about 4 years and nothing moisturizes my hair or makes it shine like Deva products. My scalp is much healthier too. Every now and then I try something else but I always come back to these products. If I stop using them, my hair starts to look like straw. (I use Deva Care No-Poo and One Condition, Angell, and Set it Free.) I'm glad I discovered your YouTube channel!

  • Does the Deva fuser work on medium-short kinky hair?

  • Yes! It works on all curl types. Watch the three step video on how to hold the DevaFuser.

  • Yes. use it mostly on the surface of shorter hair and try not to over agitate and disturb the curls during the drying process .

  • I love that girls hair at 6:25, if i go to a deva stylist what do i ask them to get this exact cut? I have the exact same curl. Please help??

  • OMG, a company that actually understands and embraces curls?! I think I'm going to cry I'm so happy! When I heard Massey talking about curly hair it was like the story of my life.

  • We are here to make you and every other curly girl (or guy) find "curl peace"! I am so glad you found yours!

  • Truly some of the best products for curly hair! Thanks for helping me love my curls again!

  • Lorraine Massey is Botticelli's Venus!!!

  • Great video!

  • The Deva products make my hair look great, BUT they make my skin break out completely. I'd much rather have clear skin. Sorry.

  • if you find the no poo is making you break out, try simply cleansing withe one condition or try the low poo!

  • Remember that since this line is so amazingly botanical, you mightin fact be allergic to one of the botanicals in the product. I agree. Just use One Condition or try Low Poo.

  • How about cleansers that lather but don't contain sls or the like? All natural shampoo bars for instance?

  • Deva products do no contain any SLS at all.

  • Correct. We are 100% sulfate free, silicone free and paraben free. It just doesn't get any better than that! In addition, we will NEVER test on animals and can be described as vegan.

  • Smart gal! We are working on that and many more innovations!

  • you must be psychic! how did you know i was JUST here five minutes ago perusing over your videos lol i can't get enough of them! LOVE the no poo by the way!

  • I do have that psychic quality...lol. I am so glad you love No Poo which truly is the original innovation of Deva products!

  • I just wanted to tell you how much I love your product. I used the Nopoo and the One Condition for about 4 years (my stylist introduced me to DevaCurl). I moved about 2 years ago and no one sell Devacurl near me. My hair has been the dryest ever- even using other professional products. I've finally wised up and am switching back to DevaCurl. I also love that your products smell awesome!! I won't use anything that doesn't pass the smell test:) So thanks again for the superior product!!

  • Thank you so much for your kind words. We have done everything possible to make sure that this product performs consistently and stays true to its reputation. "The curl truth and nothing but the truth"

  • I've fallen head over heels fot this product my salon sells it and we just had a class on how to use Diva Curl and i have to say that for the first time in my life my curls are perrrrrrrrfuct thank you Diva Curl!!!

  • We are here to please you and your curly girl clients!

  • Thank you for such a lovely posting! Enjoy our product and keep your eyes out for a new product! shhh...coming soon!

  • Haha! We are Divas...but we are really "DEVAS"! Enjoy.

  • there's a GBS Beauty Store in Aventura/Miami, Florida that carries all the Deva Curl products. they're fabulous!

  • I was excited to see that the comments have finally been turned on.

I bought "Curly Girl" the book back in December, and I fell in love.

So anyways, are any of the products sold in any other salons that Devachan? I don't like buying things online, and I don't live anywhere near NYC.

Hopefully when I go to NYC I can plan a trip to the salon.

  • Curly Girl 2 is on the way...stay tuned!

  • There are lots of places that carry Deva in Canada and the US. Call the Deva people and they will tell you.

  • Thanks so much. I found a place near me that sells it, and using the techniques too.

  • Hell,

I live in Montreal and I really want to buy DevaCurl' products...

Please, where do I find it?

  • I used the heaven in hair but I used it with heat (maybe I shouldn't have?) and my hair didn't feel as great when I rinsed it. Any suggestions? I LOVED how it felt in my hair and was hoping to keep that feeling!!

  • I've heard that there are some new videos coming, so hopefully they will explain a few of my questions too.

    I love No-poo. It's changed my life.

    No dandruff!

  • HIH will not feel the way most intense treatments will feel because it is not laden with silicone which makes the hair feel slippery and coat the surface of the hair with synthetic chemicals. HIH penetrates with botanicals from the rain forests of Brazil and leaves the hair feeling bouncy. You may not have applied enough or, you may consider leaving some in. I want to suggest that you condition daily right now and get the hydration level to the max. Then use HIH as a supplemental treatment.

  • We'll have a Video up soon that will show the process and our product range, but in the meantime, you can either rinse out or leave it in if your hair needs extra conditioning. Try 'Heaven In Hair' which can be left in over night for deep conditioning.

    Hope this helped.

Drop in to one of our salons and our professionals will work miracles!

  • For black woman or kinky hair types, should the one condition be rinsed out or left in the hair?

  • You can leave some in. I really want you to be aware of HOW MUCH product you are using. If you are very dehydrated, you must use enough to cover and penetrate the entire landscape of the hair in the begonning until maximum hydration is achieved.

  • Thank you. That was very helpful. However, I'm a little miss trustful of professional cuts b/c every cut I get leaves me with way to short hair!

  • That's because they probably cut your hair wet. We only cut the hair dry. We need to see the spring factor of the curl This way, we never cut too much, only what is necessary.

  • For any curl type,if the hair and scalp is dehydrated, then leave some conditioner in! Also use Heaven In Hair, our intense deep treatment! Its amazing!

  • Feel free to leave some in the hair. More moisture equals less frizz.
