The theme from "The Magnificent Seven" is my favorite piece of movie music ever and I have to say, I totally love this. Instead of seeing it as "disrespectful," I see it as an irreverent, but affectionate tribute to one of the most recognizable themes ever. If the people behind this didn't also love this music, would they know all the parts well enough to send them up? I do the same thing when I listen to it in my car, by the way.

I have heard this too. Apparently there was a lot of tension between Brynner and Mc Queen, which is evident in the attempted scene stealing that goes on especially during the hearse to Boothill part. Steve was certainly playing to the camera in this scene, (I suppose the newcomer/youngster trying to establish himself against the more exprienced actor, i.e. Brynner) by shaking shotgun cartridges, using his hat against the sun etc. Great movie because of it too.
