I love the Atari Virtual World. The sound effects in this world are also really cool. I love the Atari 2600. One of the greatest gaming consoles of all time in my opinion!!!

Have battlezone for the atari 2600 and I think that this is better just from seeing it. In Battlezone, you can barely tell that you are getting closer to the tanks unlike in Robot Tanks where it actually looks like the tanks are coming closer.

Robot Tank and Gauntlet(in 3-D ???) are the inspirations for DIABLO/DIABLO 2_D2 LOD/DIABLO 3. There might be more programs in the Entertainment world.

Note that Robot Tank is not 3-dimensional like the DIABLO TRILOGY.

Note also that Robot Tank has the Day/Night video feature like D1,D2+D3.

In this case it appears like the Atari's Battlezone is the superior game. i.e. The enemy shots don't just disappear, and they can shoot you from behind.

They would be better if you have controllers. I don't have one so it's kind of pain in the ass with SNES or something what has many buttons and L & R triggers.

yeah, but for a simple system like a 2600, the arrow keys and space bar prove usable, I like STELLA, I htink it works very well.

This game and Enduro were two of my favorite Activision games ever. I still play them on Stella all the time. =)

I think the words "Robot Lobster Bisque" would have a hard time fitting on the end label of an Atari 2600 catridge, which is probably why they just shortened it to "Robot Tank" :)
