The color is factory on this one..But if you have to repaint a body,Yes it needs sanding,primer,color,clear coat..

I suggest 2-3 normal layers(hands)on the color and clear coat and 2 with the primer.To make sure that the primer is nicely and smooth on the surface use a ultra thin sand paper for finish..

This color is two tones different from the original "maroon brown"

And with waterdecals from "rob"it looks like the factory-stock model from Maisto..
