  • The Best version of Diane Ever ?

I Like the Original much more - Hüsker Dü rocks ;)

  • Therapy needs to bring back the 2nd guitar/cello player. Sounds so much better live than with one guitar

  • Do you people even know of Husker Du??

  • That's a great version too, but it would be perfect with a cello playing the original parts, along with the guitars.

  • one of the best songs EVER and i am not even an Therapy? follower well i folowed therapy, but thats another story whahah

  • who put that dislike up there?.....

  • @Xanothikan Someone who is numb probably...

  • love this version

  • I prefer the original version by Husker Du.

  • @wilcoblok1a Yea, the original sounds like he sympathize her, particularly sounded in the chorus. In this cover, he sounded like a psycho, albeit sounds a bit fake. Therapy? did try to make as haunting as the one Bob Mould sung, but they can't. Good try, though.

  • @crackeronut It doesnt sound that bad at all, too bad therapy is getting so much credits for something they didnt wrote ;)

  • @crackeronut Not to be pedantic, but technically it was Grant Hart that sang it! ;-) I love both bands' versions though.

  • @crackeronut I think the reason he sounded kind of like a fake psychopath was because he isn't a psychopath. lol.

  • this is recorded in the black box in dublin 1997, have it on vhs at home too, i must have watched this a thousand times back then

  • If I'm not wrong this is from MTV Live 'N' Direct, St. Patrick's Day 1997. Up Therapy?, greatest band in Northern Ireland!!!!simply awesome!!!!

  • ..♥..

  • I personally liked their pre-album version of tightrope walker in this show..

  • выглядит и ведет себя как peter steele

  • you tube sort it out every time i play a video it stops and goes

  • amazing version of the song

  • absolute class...great

  • OMG this is really AWESOME!!!

  • One of the best songs ever.. candidate to be a classic. But it seems like two different songs, live and the studio ones. I like both anyway !

  • This song blew me away first time I heard it... 15 years ago... god I feel old...

  • @MrGerakis100 hear hear ;)

  • only 2 good albums... But they worth the shit to buy'em. Those were sweet years

  • A lot of old schoolers (of which I am one) say stuff "blah blah shit new bands...blah blah...weak shit" etc. But I'm all over it. I dont like this version, but H.Du gets money, and hopefully, one day, when production techniques have changed as much again someone will cover Therapy and show them some respect. they do rock.

  • i personally think we do a better version. think o the version on whatever single it was. only thing would make it better is the cello. but it is dark as fuck. but, this is prob the best youtube one there is. we do a closer to husker version, but with the therapy darkness. i not tryin to compare, i LOOOOVEEE both

  • love this version!

  • Wow, never heard this 'mid-loud-version' before. It's really cool. Andy looked totally different.

  • So powerful version...Thanks for posting it man...

  • This gig was at the Red Box, Dublin on 18/2/97. I was there; it was a weird "fan-club members and competition winners only" gig. Broadcast on MTV & RTE (Irish TV). Andy was in a strange mood all night and didn't talk much. Dodgy were one of the support acts, maybe thats why!!

  • O yes.... this version i saw the first and only time at the award show of mtv i thought it was 1995 they played it. I never saw it again in my life till now. This version i always remembered it is indeed one of the most coolest versions of Diane ever.....
