I LOVE this video I will watch it all day but it STINKS for Cloud because he has to fight of these other stallions who are fighting for the lead stallion and trying to steal all of Cloud's mares

Before becoming so upset about all of this, do a little research, dear viewers. find out what the reasons are before hating it.

left unchecked, these horses will overbreed themselves into starvation. They have no natural preditors as the moose and elk do. watch the Nature documentaries on why they have put so much effort re-introducing the wolf to the yellowstone area, etc? explains a lot.

It´s nice to see Cloud with his family. I bought a model horse from him and his band, his mare, Bolder and Flint.

Well, Bolder will be the next Cloud in my opinion, and I hope with this film the control - freaks of USA wake up in the next years. Why kill the horses? They ARE America! They came with the first people on this country, and there are no stupid farmers who need the grass for there cattles. D:<

I love this. I have watched everything about Cloud as many times as I could. I get Equus magazine and I read that by 2014 the BLM plans on having around 25,000 wild horses on preserves. BUT... they plan to give the mares drugs to keep them from reproducing too much. What the hell!?! Why is it so complicated!? Wild horses are a part of AMERICAN HISTORY. Why destroy it? Why take it away? Why drug them? Wild horses are a symbol of American freedom and spirit. Don't let it die.

I think it's TRAGIC that these mares are injected with these drugs. They have been robbed. Why are they rounding up these horses? What possible excuse could these fools have for this atrocity? It all just breaks my heart. Can anything be done to stop this genocide?

@dvang31 It's not just about people, there are other things that live in these places and having too many horses can hurt them and their populations... and if there are too many horses, they can hurt the land or overpopulate to the point where there isn't enough food for them.

So unfortunately the population does need to be controlled. Just not in the way that they're doing.

@myboringlife well the reason they do it is to make sure that the pop. stays low becuase durring the roundup they draw blood and release animals in bands that arnt directly related so inbreeding doesnt happen :)

Cloud bred to the black mare, but he lost her to Shaman; she had Bolder in Shaman's band. Shaman had bred to Sitka, but Cloud stole her, and she had Flint in Cloud's band.

LBt92 - She knows Bolder's father is Cloud, because Cloud would be the only horse to father a palomino colt out of a black mare. And, she knows Shaman is Flint's son because Sitka is Flint's mother, and she was in Shaman's band before Cloud stole her while she was 10 months pregnant. In early summer 2001, she gave birth to Flint. So it's a switch of fathers.

I am looking forward to this new installment to series on Cloud, but I do wonder how Ginger Katherns will manage to air it without major editing after the BLM's destructive roundup to Montana's Pryor Moutain range Mustangs. I will be curious to see how she handles all the events of the last 10 days and possibly includes the remaining scheduled BLM roundups to devastate other herds in Oregon and the Dakotas. Will she be able to speak on legislation currently before Congress and President Obama?
